TRILOGY OF THE UNKNOWN
A Conspiracy
Reader
Michael X
(for "security" reasons and to protect his family he
never liked to reveal his last name) was in the
early days of the flying saucer movement an avatar of
the New Age, professing to have met highly advanced,
angelic-like beings from the stars who looked so
remarkably human that they could easily pass as
earthlings. Through telepathic contact they taught him
about science, philosophy and health, which he passed
on to a devoted group of followers throughout the West
Coast. His self published monographs on various arcane
topics were hard to find but highly sought
after.
Normally, his transcriptions concerned themselves with
cosmic wisdom and knowledge as spread throughout the
ages to a limited number of truth seekers.
One day his life changed when he received a telepathic
message from those thought to be his cosmic "guides."
They told him to come to a secluded area in the Mojave
desert so they could meet with him and give him
physical evidence of their existence which he could
show to others, thus proving his encounters to be true
and not fantasies or a hoax.
Instead of the usual cordial greetings from his Space
Brother friends he had been "set up", as a rifle was
pointed at his head and only an "inner voice" saved
him from what could only have been a tragic
death.
From that day forth, Michael X. spoke little about his
ET contacts, fearing reprisals from those who
had disguised themselves as benevolent
aliens, but who most probably were
representatives of the Dark Forces, the Men in
Black, the International Bankers, or some
sinister Big Business cartel.
We really don't know why Michael X was silenced, but
we have put together a Trilogy of Terror which
presents some of his more controversial conspiracy
works involving the seamier, negative aspects of
UFOlogy, from Nazi flying saucers, to reptilians
living on and inside the earth, and a dire warning NOT TO RETURN TO THE MOON.
We do not suggest that readers give up their own
involvement in researching the mysteries of the sky,
but we do utter a simple warning -- BE CAREFUL WHERE
YOU TREAD!

New Developments with Mysterious Illness in
NY Town
A 36-year-old
nurse practitioner has been diagnosed as the first
adult to have the mysterious Tourette-like illness
that has spread across a rural New York town.
Marge Fitzsimmons, who works with developmentally
disabled patients and has no immediate ties to the
town's high school at the centre of the outbreak,
has had to stop going to work because her body
tics and twitches have gotten so severe that she
can no longer work with her patients.
Details of her condition emerged today as
researchers offered a new explanation for the
strange symptoms that have been diagnosed in 14
teenage girls and one teenage boy.
Doctors have singled out the possibilty of
paediatric acute-onset neuropsychaitric syndrome,
or PANS, as a solution.
However, the new addition of an adult to the list
of victims is likely to cast doubt on the theory
that the outbreak is caused by a condition
prevalent in children.
'It started out with sudden head jerks in the
middle of October. The motor tics wouldn't stop,
and the vocal tics started, and I went to one of
the bosses and said I have to go,' Ms Fitzsimmons
told NBC News.
'When it first started I thought maybe I'm going
crazy.
'As an adult, I can't imagine these teenagers
going through this and for anyone to think that
they're faking it at all. Try living a day in
their shoes.'
Researchers are now looking into a new explanation
– that infections caused by bacteria or viruses
can cause also infect the brain, leading to onsets
of Tourette’s and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
News of the adult case comes after fifteen
teenagers were of the affected who attend Le Roy
High School in Genesee County, New York State.
Only one boy has been affected, the other 14
sufferers are girls.
According to the Scientific American, some experts
now believe that the upstate New York teens may
have paediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric
syndrome, or PANS.
The disease, once called PANDAS (paediatric
autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorder associated
with streptococcal infection), first manifested in
children who developed OCD after having a bout of
strep throat.
According to WIVB.com, doctors from the Dent
Neurological Institute have met with some of the
students.
Dr Rosario Trifiletti will be running tests for
PANS, the results of which will be ready in one to
two weeks.
He is a specialist in PANDAS and says walking
pneumonia may be to blame, though the disease is
extremely rare in patients over 11, as WGRZ
reported.
The neurologist who has been treating the
teenagers ruled out PANDAS soon after examining
them and diagnosed them with conversion disorder.
Dr Trifiletti calls the diagnosis ‘absolute
garbage,’ but adds if they do have a form of
walking pneumonia, the infection is treatable with
a simple antibiotic, like a Z-Pack.
Earlier last month, it was reported that 12 female
students, who all attend Le Roy High School, in
New York, had been diagnosed and were being
treated for the unexplained illness.
That number has now risen to 15 teenagers and they
are all reportedly suffering from verbal outbursts
and involuntary twitches.
One of the teenagers affected, 16-year-old Lori
Brownell, posted a video on YouTube discussing how
her symptoms started last August and looking for
help from anyone who might explain her condition.
She has not been able to attend school since the
tics started and the seizures were becoming more
frequent.
Thera Sanchez, 17, has had the symptoms for months
and is constantly plagued by the immobilizing
tics.
'I’ve had psychological treatment. They say this
is stress induced. My psychological treatment ….
That’s all they do is stress me out more,' she
said.
Campaigning lawyer and environmental activist Erin
Brockovich is now looking into the case.
In 1996, Brockovich fought and won a mass lawsuit
for an estimated $333 million dollars against
Pacific Gas and Electric, who allegedly
contaminated drinking water in the town of
Hinkley, California.
Brockovich, who was the inspiration for the
eponymous film starring Julia Roberts, has already
started investigating.
She has suggested that a chemical spill from a
train derailment in the 1970s near the site of the
school may be the cause. She has sent scientists
to collect soil samples around the high school.
'When I read reports like this that the New York
Department of Health and state agencies were
well-aware of the spill and you don’t do water
testing or vapor extraction tests, you don’t have
an all-clear,' she said.
According to a 1999 report by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, almost one tonne
of cyanide crystals spilled to the ground in the
derailment, along with 130,000 litres of
trichloroethene.
The crystals were removed but the trichloroethene
was absorbed into the ground.
Brockovich said she has received more than one
hundred emails about the school.
She said: 'We don’t have all the answers, but we
are suspicious. They have not ruled everything out
yet. The community asked us to help, and this is
what we do.'
Critics of Brockovich say that she is only hurting
the cause by instilling more fear and mass
hysteria in the area which is already filled with
a bevy of questions and no answers.
Ms Fitzsimmons has lived in Le Roy all her life
and is now worried that the threat that the
illness is due to an environmental hazard in the
area.
School administrators would not disclose exactly
what they think the cause is but have insisted it
is not a case of mass hysteria and that none of
the girls are making the illness or symptoms up.
A new study released by the Centers for Disease
Control concluded that Morgellons - a disease that
causes patients to sprout painful sores - exists
only in the patients' minds, much like early
hypotheses that the Le Roy teenagers suffered from
'mass hysteria.'
Sufferers of the mystery illness describe a
variety of symptoms, including fatigue, erupting
sores, crawling sensations on their skin and -
perhaps worst of all - mysterious red, blue or
black fibers that sprout from their skin.
Earlier this month, the school held a forum for
concerned parents.
About 150 people attended, demanding to know what
was wrong with the students.
Dr Greg Young, with the NYS Department of Health,
said: 'I can assure you these children have all
been seen by professionals that have come up with
answers and they are all being treated and they're
actually doing pretty well.'
He revealed that tics like this can be caused by a
number of factors such as genetics, head trauma,
drugs for ADHD and OCD and antihistamines.
Through tests over the last few months, they have
been able to rule out a number of environmental
factors, infections, illegal drugs and carbon
monoxide poisoning.
But Brockovitch believes New York officials might
have prematurely ruled out environmental reasons
for the teens having neurological symptoms.
According to WGRZ.com, the Centers for Disease
Control in Atlanta has been consulted, along with
Columbia University, as well as the Genesee County
Health Department and the New York State Health
Department.
Dr Young assured parents that these cases have
been seen nationwide and they come and go in
individuals.
Tourette's syndrome affects the body's brain and
nervous system by causing tics - repeated,
uncontrollable movements or involuntary vocal
sounds.

Mysterious Radio Signal Detected in Deep
Space
A mysterious
signal coming from a region of space between the
constellations Pisces and Aries has been picked up
on three different occasions by the Arecibo radio
telescope in Puerto Rico.
The signal is very puzzling and does not resemble
any known astronomical phenomenon.
Researchers who have studied its frequency pattern
do not believe it is natural interference or
noise.
Was the signal transmitted deliberately by an
extraterrestrial civilization on a distant planet?
Scientists remain cautious but we cannot dismiss
the possibility.
Astronomers believe there are about 10,000
intelligent civilizations in our galaxy alone.
Lets not forget that there are hundreds of
billions of galaxies in the Universe, which means
the Universe may actually be teeming with life.
Some years ago, in 2008, astronomers announced
they picked up a mysterious signal from outer
space. It was not the last time they heard the
mysterious sound.
SETI and other astronomers were excited about the
news, but they were also worried the signal
may never be completely decoded.
"We probably won't be able to decode it. We'll
know something's out there, but we won't know much
about their civilization, " said Dan Wertheimer of
the UC Berkeley SETI Project.
SHGb02+14a, as the signal has been named has been
heard on three occasions adding up to about a
minute. This is not long enough firmly to
establish its source, but its frequency of 1420
megahertz has interested scientists, as it is a
main frequency at which hydrogen, the most common
element in the Universe, absorbs and emits energy.
Scientists have various opinions about the nature
of SHGb02+14a.
Eric Korpela of Berkeley, who has analyzed the
signal, said: "We are looking for something
that screams out artificial. This doesn't, but it
could be because it is distant."
Dr. Korpela point out that the interference with
the Arecibo telescope could also make the signal
look like it is always coming from the same point.
"Perhaps there is an object on the ground near the
telescope emitting at about this frequency."
David Anderson, director of Seti@home, said: "It
is unlikely to be real, but we will definitely be
re- observing it."
Jocelyn Bell Burnell, of the University of Bath,
said that the signal could be a previously unknown
astronomical phenomenon, such as a pulsar she
detected in 1967. "It may be a natural phenomenon
of a previously undreamt-of kind like I stumbled
over," she said.
Woodruff Sullivan, of the University of Washington
in Seattle, said the research suggests that a
message from an advanced alien civilization could
already be lurking undetected in the solar system.
"This scenario is reminiscent of Arthur C.
Clarke's 2001: A Space Odyssey, in which a
monolith discovered on the Moon has been left by
extra-terrestrials. If archaeologists were to find
such an object, it would hardly be the first time
that science fiction had become science fact,"
said Sullivan.
Of course, even if astronomers somehow manage to
decode the signal, they will face another problem
- What should we reply to an alien civilization?
How can we communicate with these beings?
We still don't know if someone has been trying to
contact us, but the signal coming from a galaxy
very away remains intriguing and we hope we may
one day find out whether it is of artificial
origin or an unknown natural phenomenon.

Is the
Internet Exposing Our Collective
Consciousness?
By Diane
Tessman
In a recent article, “Do Aliens Surf the
Internet?”
it is suggested that aliens are learning more
about humans through looking at the Internet. What
if there is even more to it than this? What if the
human collective consciousness itself is growing
and advancing because it is involved in the
various aspects of the wide-world web? This
concept is similar to adding knowledge into your
computer through collecting information,
knowledge, and also through making contact with
others.
There are brilliant people who believe we
ourselves are in a computer simulation, but this
article is not about that.
http://www.ufodigest.com/article/are-we-living-super-computer-simulation-aliens-beings
However, the human (quantum) morphic field does
seem to “resonate” and “collect” human experience,
memories and thoughts, in a still-mysterious
method which has become over the eons, the
collective human consciousness.
This morphic field can be analogized to a computer
storing our thoughts and efforts. We can hook into
the collective consciousness, just as we also can
hook into the Internet, at which point, we have
access to more information, more memories, more
thoughts, than we do as a mere individual.
Are there less alien abductions than there used to
be? Did abductions peak somewhere in the 1990s
right before humans got into heavy computer and
Internet use? If so, this might point to the fact
that the human collective consciousness is now
exposed, to some degree, on the Internet in a
“cyber-field” if not a “morphic field.” The two
might be interlink somehow.
I feel that when I encountered my alien contact in
my childhood, he used a quantum entanglement
method because in the 1950s, the human collective
consciousness was not on display for all to see on
the Internet. Society kept just about everything
hidden. As discussed in “Is Alien Entanglement
Actually Quantum Entanglement?” I feel that
quantum entanglement results in a shared
consciousness between human and alien, wherein the
alien has access to the human’s life-long
experiences and feelings and the human also
"feels" alien thoughts and consciousness. This
method might have been more popular with the
aliens closer to the beginning of the modern UFO
era in 1947.
http://www.ufodigest.com/article/alien-entanglement-actually-quantum-entanglement
However in 2012, many scenarios are unfolding. It
is the Change Times! So perhaps the quantum
entanglement method is not as necessary,
especially because human thoughts, good, bad, and
bizarre, are all over the Internet.
Let’s look at what the Internet really does for
us, and to us, as a species; I need to start with
my own experience: For years I have communicated
with people who feel they were abducted or had UFO
contact, with new age thinkers and experiencers,
with enlightened, remarkable humans who are
interested in my writing and channeling. I more
than most, race to the post office daily to get
the mail, open the letters, and read the latest
from some delightfully far-out human. It takes
perhaps 3 days for their latest letter to reach
me.
These days, I still have many friends through the
post office, and many of them perhaps wisely feel
they don’t want to get involved in the Internet
world. They sense it is more powerful than most of
us realize, but for good or bad?
However, I also receive fascinating e-mails which
have an “Eternal Now” quality about them. I feel
this may be the key as to why the process itself
of “being on the Internet” may link into the
collective human consciousness more than sending
postal letters.
First, let’s remember that our great literature
from Shakespeare to Asimov, was written with no
computer. Dancing, singing, creating art – all
those qualities so wonderfully human (and perhaps
alien, who knows?), go into the collective human
consciousness field perhaps quicker and with more
impact than anything else.
However, if you see a ballet in person, it is more
effective within your mind/soul than a picture of
a ballet or even a DVD of a ballet.
There is something about the Eternal Now which has
the most power -- the most power to do what? To
affect the quantum nature of reality and of
consciousness! In fact, consciousness and reality
seem to exist only in the Eternal Now.
Dreams, which hook into the collective
consciousness and unconsciousness, seem real at
the time because they are in the present, the
Eternal Now. Dreams may actually be real in that
moment they exist.
I have a friend of over 30 years. We were always
close, sharing far-out ideas, chasing UFOs, and
laughing together. We spent a lot of time
together, and we loved each other. Then we both
moved, we tried to keep postal contact, lost
contact, and remembered each other fondly. Then
about 2 years ago, my old friend dropped me an
email. Since then, we have opened up on matters of
the soul, dreams of the spirit, and also, been
more honest about a few hiccups or
non-communications, in our friendship which we did
not do when spending in-person time together. We
could and should have delved into a few questions,
but we did not.
This happens within families, too. You love each
other but there is not honest communication, good
and bad because of, well, social barriers.
Embarrassing, might cause an argument. But in
email, it is in the Eternal Now as you write it,
and in the Eternal Now as you read it; both people
involved receive their fair amount of time for
in-put and for reception. And it somehow gives us
the power to be truthful within our version of
“truth,” in the dynamic Eternal Now.
Look at social networking sites, something I have
no knowledge of, but humans have apparently opened
up as never before, for better or worse, and they
even tell each other as they tweet that they are
going for groceries or taking a bath. And texting!
The human collective consciousness seems to be
wide open and wanting to connect to others. Before
the Internet, we lived in relatively isolated
individual worlds, morphic field inactive.
I receive e-mail from fascinating people with
fascinating ideas, thanks partly to UFO Digest. To
me, a site like UFO Digest is the wiggling,
squirming human collective consciousness, really
advancing. Growing up!
Well, yes, we take one step backward for every two
steps forward, that is the human way. I bet the
aliens had that same “3 step dance” of evolution.
Yes, the Internet has pornography, fear, hatred,
greed, and ignorance, too, but alas, these too are
in the collective human consciousness.
So, I am not talking here about human
consciousness advancing a level upward, although I
sure hope it is doing that. I am saying that our
collective human consciousness, right where it is
today, in the Eternal Now, has partially
manifested on the Internet and that perhaps the
two fields (cyber and morphic) are linked, so that
the Internet with all its social networking,
forums, information, and knowledge, is actually
exposing human collective consciousness itself,
solidifying it, and assisting it to develop.
The aliens can learn about us from this
phenomenon, too. In fact, maybe every planet at
this crucial stage of evolution, has just embraced
technology/computers, thus the collective
consciousness of the dominant species begins to
long for evolution, and is on display for all the
galaxy to perceive and even access.
Maybe this is why we have grown so dependent on
our computers. Maybe this is why we check the new
e-mails before we eat breakfast or hurry to read
the latest blog of the person you admire or even,
the person you dislike.
Perhaps our Internet obsession is part of these
Change Times, and even driving them, to some
degree. The human species wants to evolve, needs
to evolve now – in this Eternal Now. We can’t do
it overnight but spiritual evolution in
particular, can happen amazingly quickly. And we
must do it together, thus we need our collective
consciousness to be at optimum, strong, active,
and ready to boldly go.

Close
Encounters of the Giant Kind
By Nick Redfern
For decades,
within the annals of Ufology, countless types of
apparent alien entity have been reported by
startled witnesses to UFOs and their
other-worldly crews. The list of
extraterrestrial life forms is truly bizarre and
includes beings that resemble (a) huge, flying
jellyfish; (b) oversized bananas; (c) the
Michelin Man; and (d) long-nosed, scrawny
humanoids with glowing red eyes.
But, such beings are most assuredly not typical
of those reported in the vast majority of close
encounters of the ufological kind. Indeed, they
are firmly in the minority. Dominating the UFO
scene are without doubt the human-looking
Space-Brothers, the insect-like Grays, and the
sinister Reptilians. But, there are a surprising
number of reports on file describing giant-sized
aliens, too…
While the tales of alien giants most certainly
do not attract the same sort of attention and
acclaim as their long-haired cousins did way
back in the Contactee-driven era of the 1950s,
and the emotionless Grays do today, that does
not mean such issues are of no consequence. In
fact, one could convincingly argue quite the
opposite!
Two such notable cases emanate from with the
British Isles; the details of one of which were
given to Charles Bowen, a former editor of
Flying Saucer Review magazine, and that were
duly published in a classic book on alien
entities that Bowen edited himself, The
Humanoids.
The year was 1958 and the location was very near
to Balmoral, Scotland. As part of their basic
training, an Aberdeen-based unit of the
Territorial Army had been dispatched to the area
in question to take part in a weekend of
maneuvers.
During the course of the exercise, two of the
group were deployed to guard a small hilltop
and, fully equipped, set about digging
themselves a trench for cover. On the first
morning, just as dawn was breaking, both heard
what they later described as a strange
“gurgling” sound that seemed to originate from
behind a dense group of trees, several hundred
yards from their position. Unsurprisingly
somewhat curious, they set out to investigate,
when two giant, humanoid figures suddenly
emerged from the shadows and proceeded towards
them in ominous, lumbering fashion.
Naturally overcome with overwhelming terror, the
pair hastily retreated. As they ran in panicked
style, they heard a “swishing noise,” and
glancing over their shoulders saw a gigantic,
disc-shaped object in the sky above which
appeared to be following them. Reportedly
“pulsating,” the UFO swooped low over their
heads and – to the complete and utter relief of
the pair – quickly disappeared, curiously
trailing a shower of sparks as it vanished from
view.
A similar case, involving the Schwab family, who
was then living in the English city of Bath,
occurred late one weekend night in mid March
1978, while they were attending a family
get-together in the county of Wiltshire. While
driving past the legendary Stonehenge around
11.00 p.m., they were shocked to the core by the
startling sight of a “twelve-foot-tall thing,
like a giant man,” standing in the middle of the
road.
Not surprisingly, Mr. Schwab brought the car to
a rapid, screeching halt, and he, his wife and
son watched amazed as a bright light from above
suddenly enveloped the mighty being, and which
‘”lit it up and we could see it was like me and
you, but twice as tall and in a silver suit and
two big eyes [sic].”
Even more startling, the huge creature then
began to slowly rise into the beam of light –
which, the three could now see, was “coming out
of the bottom of a big square-shaped object in
the sky, and black [in color] that hummed so
loud and made us all feel sick.”
Within seconds, the giant and the beam of light
were gone, and the mysterious craft duly soared
into the heavens, leaving the Schwab family
wondering what on earth – or, very possibly, off
it – had just happened.
Rogue cases of Goliath-like aliens in decades
past may not attract the same levels of
attention and fascination as those of today’s
alleged DNA-stealing, pasty, skinny, denizens of
Zeta Reticuli, but that does not mean they are
without merit.
After all, if extraterrestrials are visiting us,
then perhaps – just like us, the Human Race –
they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes!

- TAKING IT ON DJINN
DEPARTMENT -
Djinn Mania
"According to
legend, the Djinn were the first inhabitants of
this world, where they lived for thousands of
years before humanity arrived. In order to make
room for humans, angels took the Djinn out of
this world and placed them in a dimension that
parallels our own. There they stay hidden from
our view. They have the ability to see and
interact with us, but we have difficulty seeing
them. They are cloaked in mystery, and it suits
their covert purpose.
The goal of most Djinn is to retake this world,
which they feel rightfully belongs to them. In
order to succeed, they must make humanity give
up stewardship of this reality. They are
accomplishing this by stealth and disguise. They
have great powers and plenty of time, for they
live for centuries.
Shape-shifting Djinn may be responsible for many
forms of paranormal phenomena and experience,
such as UFOs, shadow people, ghosts,
poltergeists, and demonic possession. In such
ways, they gain access to us that enables them
to steal our life force and information about
us, and to manipulate and use us without
revealing their true form and purpose. These
negative experiences are on the rise" - The
Vengeful Djinn: Unveiling the Hidden Agenda of
Genies
Are the negative forces of the Djinn on the
rise? There are many references to the Djinn in
everyday life in the Islamic world but
particularly in Saudi Arabia and nearby Arab
nations.
These Djinn or Genies are supernatural beings in
Arab folklore and Islamic teachings that occupy
a parallel world to that of mankind. In
combination, Djinn, Humans and Angels make up
the three sentient creations of Allah.
The Qur'an mentions that Jinn are made of
smokeless flame or "scorching fire". Like human
beings, the Jinn can also be good, evil, or
neutrally benevolent. This belief make it easier
for Islamic societies to 'explain away' the
unexplainable as well as combine it with
conventional living. Here are a few recently
published reports:
Djinns blamed for 'fires' erupting at Saudi
house - Two Saudi brothers who were scared out
of their home and moved to another house because
of repeated mystery fires were shocked to find
that fires had not stopped at the old house. A
week after they settled down in the new house, a
big blaze erupted and damaged a large part of
it.
The two were then convinced that Jinn (ghosts)
were behind the blazes and their theory was
supported by the police and a Moslem scholar who
said he himself witnessed the fire at the house
in the southern town of Bisha.
But that was not the opinion of the Saudi civil
defence, who believe all the fires were an act
of arson.
Quoted by the Saudi Arabic language daily Okaz,
the two brothers, Fahd and Bandar Al Gamdi, said
they were forced to move to another house nearly
three km away from the old house because of
persistent fires.
“But fires did not stop at the old house and
they then spread to the new house, forcing my
brother to move to another house,” Fahd said.
Sheikh Mohammed Al Omari, a well known scholar
in that town, said he was called by the two
brothers to read Koran and “evict the jinn out
of the house.”
“As I started to read in one room, a fire
erupted but was put out by the civil defence
units who were there at that time,” he said.
“I then moved to another room and started
reading Koran when a fire flared…fire erupted in
every room I moved to and then I felt the Jinn
movements…I was not scared and kept reading
Koran.”
The paper quoted police spokesman Major Abdullah
Al Shaathan as saying investigation showed there
was no act of arson as no one could sneak into
that house, adding that forensic experts found
no electric or building faults.
“These fires are abnormal or in other words are
supernatural…we are still working on the final
report which includes statements by neighbours.”
But supernatural causes were dismissed by civil
defence spokesman Colonel Mohammed Al Asimi, who
said initial evidence points to criminal act.
“We are still investigating these fires and
preliminary examination and evidence show
criminal activity could be involved in these
incidents,” he said.

Search for young man abducted by Djinns - Omani
young man disappears under mysterious
circumstances when he was driving his motorbike
near Mudar Mountain.
Dhiab Al Amiri, a resident of the village of the
young man pointed out, "The young man went last
Wednesday to a mountain near the village by his
motorbike but he didn't back yet. The absence of
the young man prompted his family to ask
neighbors about him and during the search found
his motorbike next to the mountain without any
other traces for him."
Police was informed immediately and they rushed
to the location with search dogs and helicopters
but did not find the man.
Local residents believe the mountain is
inhabited by the Djinns, reported the Saudi
based Arabic newspaper Al Marsad.
They disclosed that many mysterious incidents
occur and stories are narrated about the Djinns
who live in the mountain.
Residents also confirmed that the young man was
kidnapped by a group of Djinns.
They say after such incidents religious scholars
need to interfere and release the young man from
the clutches of the Djinn.
It is reported that one of the sheikhs had a
vision and spoke to the Djinn who kept the young
man in grotto in the mountain.
Large number of citizens visited the mountain,
where some of them brought sacrifices for the
Djinn to release the young man.
Omani army members still surrounded the mountain
in preparation to enter.

Girl snatched by genies comes at night:
residents - Saudi police have intensified a
campaign to search a Yemeni girl who vanished
more than 40 days ago from her village, where
her relatives believe she was snatched by
genies.
After failing to locate the 23-year-old girl,
her family started to distribute leaflets and
stick posters on mosques in the hope they will
get any information on her whereabouts.
“We are living in tragic conditions because of
my sister’s disappearance,” her brother Ahmed
Ali said, quoted by the Saudi online Arabic
language daily Sabq on Sunday.
“She has been under the spell of jinn (genies)
and this may have to do with her disappearance…
it’s nearly 41 days now and there is no trace of
her despite intensifying police search for her.”
Newspapers last week said the girl left her
house in her mountainous village near the
western town of Taif and never returned.
“Some people told police they saw her walking on
a hill not far from her house then vanished
again,” one paper said.
“Her brothers and some residents in the village
said she sometimes appears at night and then
suddenly disappears… they told police that they
believe she has been haunted and taken by jinn.”
Ali said his unmarried sister was carrying a bag
and a dress when she left the house six weeks
ago.
He said she had run away from home a year ago
but was found at another house on the same day.
“On that day, she was with my other sisters
washing in the second floor of the house… she
then went down to the ground floor… my sisters
waited for her but she never came back,” he
said.
“Before she vanished, we used to take her to
some Koran reciters and scholars… she used to
walk into their places but we had to carry her
on our way out as she appeared to be in a
trance… a red fluid sometimes oozed out of her
ears and noses… it was not blood and it had a
strange smell… some scholars told us that she is
haunted and others said she is under jinn
guardianship.”

'Ghosts' set Kuwaiti house on fire - Like in
horror movies, strange fires keep erupting at a
home in Kuwait dead on time and its owner was
told by Muslim scholars the house is haunted.
Mansour Al Ajami and his family still live in
the house in Ahmadi area in Kuwait City although
it has suffered from over 40 fire incidents
since they moved into it six years ago. But he
appears to have had enough as he thinks of
leaving.
Ajami, interviewed by Alanba Arabic language
daily, said fires erupt exactly at five in the
evening and the morning every few weeks and
although civil defence units have managed to put
them out, they have no idea what caused them.
What adds to these macabre scenes is that the
fires began in May, the fifth month in the year,
Ajami said.
“After I moved into the house, a fire erupted in
May which is number five…eversince, all the
fires have occurred at either five in the
morning or five in the evening…I had to seek
religious help so I invited a well-known Saudi
sheikh (Moslem scholar), who told me the house
is haunted,” Ajami said.
“The sheikh said the house is haunted by good
and harmless jinn (spirits) but that they seem
to have been disturbed by the human presence.”
Ajami said he did not know the reasons for the
mysterious fires, which target furniture,
cooling systems and other household items. “The
other day, I bought school bags for my children
and the next day they were on fire.”
Ajami joked about the fact that he had become
well known to the fire fighters, adding that he
only had to mention his name when reporting a
fire. “They have memorized my address because
they have been here many times.”
He said that two weeks after his family moved
into the house, they started to hear children
crying and woman groaning at night.
“Some fires did not need our intervention as
they just suddenly died down….fires have
occurred in most parts of the house except one
room, which is located on the ground floor…we
now sleep in that room for safety,” he said.
“After all these mysterious incidents, I am now
seriously considering moving out….I appeal for
the authorities to find me a house that will
shelter my family.”

Jumeirah jinns giving residents a spookfest -
Tenants, gardeners and maids report mysterious

Man blames jinn for repeated fires at home -
Talismans in the form of bruises and blisters

Genies blamed for girl’s disappearance - After a

In many instances, when the public declares that
a Djinn is the reason for a fire or other
incident officials issue statements criticizing
the “abusers” and “rumormongers” for spreading
the word about the Djinn. The belief of the
Djinn is so ingrained in these societies that
the media will denounce the police for issuing
these statements. The following article - Djinn
Hysteria Strikes the Gaza Strip - details the
traditional acceptance of the Djinn.
Are the Djinn simply an excuse for tragedy and
fate? Negative energies are identified by many
names and descriptions...but basically, all
malevolent activity is evil. The effect of
negativity in each situation depends on the
victim's nature and circumstances...and
eventually how they intend to fight it.

STRANGE CREATURES FROM TIME AND SPACE
DEPARTMENT -
The Bird That
Devours Men
From the dark recesses of history comes a legend
so amazing
and terrifying, it’s astonishing that more
people don’t know of its
existence.
If you live in the St. Louis area, chances are
you are familiar with
the legend; or may have heard bits and pieces of
it here and there. As
historians and scientists dig deeper into this
legend, more becomes
known about a monster from the past that called
the St. Louis region
its home, and may still call it home today.
Upon exploring the Mississippi River in 1673,
Louis Joliet and Father
Jacques Marquette noticed the strange likeness
of a creature painted
and sculpted on the side of the bluffs. The
creature was described as
“a large creature with horns like a deer, red
eyes, a beard like a
tiger, a face like a man, body covered with
green, red, and black
scales and a tail so long it passed around the
body, over the head, and
between the legs.” The painting depicted a dark
secret that, up until
now, only the Illinois Indians had known.
Marquette and JolietThe Illini lived on the
banks of the confluence of
the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, surrounded
by forests and tall
bluffs. The location is now home to the city of
Alton, IL. The Chief of
this village met with Joliet and Marquette and,
when asked, reluctantly
told the explorers the two hundred year old tale
of the beast they now
called the “Piasa Bird” which meant “bird that
devours men”.
One night, several braves had returned to the
village with a terrifying
tale of a monstrous beast that had attacked
their scouting party. They
explained that the flying monster had swooped
from the sky and picked
up men and carried them off into the night.
Their arrows had merely
deflected off of its tough scales as they tried
to defend themselves.
For several weeks the village suffered as the
creature they were now
calling “Piasa” attacked at night, carrying off
a victim each time to
an unseen fate. The Illini turned to their
chief, Ouatoga, to rid them
of this menace. After conversing with the Great
Spirits, Ouatoga
devised a plan. He believed that the creature
would be vulnerable under
its wings, where the scales did not protect. He
had his warriors hide
in the forest with poison-tipped arrows, while
he offered himself as
bait. The Piasa Bird appeared and went directly
for the chief. He threw
himself to the ground and held on to a tree root
as the Piasa Bird
tried to carry him off. Immediately, his
warriors emerged and shot
their arrows into the soft underbelly of the
creature. In a scream of
agony, it tumbled over the side of the bluffs
and disappeared into the
river.
Piasa Bird on the BluffsIn honor of this great
victory, they painted
the image of the Piasa Bird on the face of the
bluffs. Believing that
the Piasa Bird had lived in a large cave that
was nearby, they warned
all villagers to stay away from the cave, as
they did not want to
awaken any more of these evil spirits. In two
hundred years, they had
not encountered another menace like this.
Joliet and Marquette scoffed at this tale,
attributing it to silly
Indian folklore. However, they were both
explorers who had spent a
great deal of time discovering and documenting
new species they
encountered in their journeys west. Despite the
chief’s warnings, they
decided to explore the cave and see if they
could find some evidence of
this strange species.
They amassed a party of white settlers and an
Illini scout named
Pow-Ka-Ha-Toh (Sees in the Darkness) who was
well known to the
villagers as being able to see in the night as
if it were daylight.
They entered the cave and, armed with torches
and muskets, began to
work their way into the bluffs. As they explored
deeper into the cave,
they began to feel the crunch of bones
underneath their feet. Further
examination revealed them to be the bones of
many different animals,
some they even believed to be human remains.
Suddenly, a mist and wind swept through the
cave, extinguishing their
torches. In the darkness they began to hear loud
shrieks and screams.
Pow-Ka-Ha-Toh told Joliet that he saw many
reptilian creatures, about
the size of eagles, swarming towards them.
Behind these creatures, he
saw an enormous reptilian monster and declared
it to be the “Piasa
Bird”. The party fired a volley into the
darkness from their muskets,
and then fled towards the mouth of the cave.
There was panic and
confusion as the men struggled to reach the cave
opening; meanwhile
screams of men filled the air and were abruptly
silenced. Joliet,
Marquette, Pow-Ka-Ha-Toh, and one other settler
were the only ones to
make it out of the cave.
The Battle of PiasaThey returned to the village
and Pow-Ka-Ha-Toh told
the chief what had happened. The chief, angered
that they had awakened
the evil spirits, forced them to leave the
village. Joliet and
Marquette returned to the nearby French outpost
of St. Louis and
amassed an army of traders, soldiers, and able
bodies to help them
eliminate what they saw as a threat to trade and
settlement
opportunities in the region. When they returned
to the village, they
found it destroyed and deserted. They heard
cries and screams in the
distance.
A few minutes later, they noticed a dark mass
approaching in the
northern sky. Hundreds of winged creatures,
followed by the enormous
Piasa Bird, were descending upon them. The
soldiers began firing their
muskets, cannons, and ship-mounted artillery
into the mass. The
creatures began to fall from the sky as they
were struck by the
ordinance, but still on the mass of creatures
came. The solders, with
Joliet and Marquette at the lead, fought a
pitched battle with the
creatures as men and equipment were picked up
and thrown about. Bodies
were torn apart as the Piasa Bird and its
minions swarmed the soldiers.
Slowly the soldiers began to drive the creatures
back towards the bluff
using torches and bonfires. The creatures
appeared to fear the heat of
the flames. Several other boats had arrived with
more soldiers and
weapons to reinforce the makeshift army and join
the battle. Under
Joliet’s direction, the soldiers fought to force
the monsters towards
the bluffs and back into the cave where they had
discovered them.
Joliet figured that he could trap the creatures
inside the cave and
then seal it shut. Once the creatures were
driven back into the cave,
fires were set all around the mouth of the cave
to keep them at bay.
Cannoneers came forward and blasted the cliff
face with a volley of
cannonballs, creating an avalanche of rock and
debris, effectively
sealing the cave.
Marquette Piasa Bird SketchUpon their return to
St. Louis, Joliet and
Marquette reported to the governor what had
transpired. They agreed
that the menace had surely been destroyed and,
in the interest of
protecting their profits and interests in this
new land, decided to
keep the story of the Piasa Bird and its kin
quiet. Naturally, the
story did not stay a secret long. Survivors of
the battle spun their
tales, and even Marquette’s own journal sported
some illustrations of
the beast he had first seen painted on the
bluffs. Most settlers,
however, believed it to be a tall tale,
concocted by glory seeking
soldiers and crazy Indians and felt no fear in
venturing into the
region. As years passed, settlers built
settlements and outposts all
along the river and built the city of Alton
where the old Illini
village had been. The Piasa Bird and its kin
were never seen or
reported again. The original painting on the
rocks of the Piasa Bird
was left there as an amusement for travelers,
until it was destroyed
during excavation of the bluffs.
Today, historians and scientists seek to unravel
the mysteries
surrounding these great and terrible creatures.
They search to find the
line of what is myth and what is reality. Were
these creatures
dinosaur-like leftovers from a prehistoric time?
Were they a new
species altogether? Were they large birds given
incredible powers by
the imaginations of the Indians and early
settlers?
Historians find new clues and evidence all of
the time, and soon we may
know the truth. They have fought to keep the
legend alive and have
continued to keep a large painting of the Piasa
Bird on the bluffs, as
an homage to the brave warriors of the past, and
in the hopes of new
found evidence for the future. But as people
turn up missing in the
bluffs, and mysterious disappearances on the
river mount every year;
more people are beginning to believe that the
“Piasa Bird”, or its
descendants, still dwell in The Great River
Bend.

TAKE THAT ZOMBIE GEORGE
WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT -
The Man Who Wanted to
Reanimate George Washington’s
Body
George
Washington may have been
America's first president, but
was he nearly America's first
zombie-in-chief? If William
Thornton, physician and designer
of the US Capitol, had had his
way, Washington's body would
have been subjected a scientific
experiment designed to bring the
deceased former president back
to life.
In December 1799, 67-year-old
George Washington took a ride
through the wet winter rain and,
shortly afterward, developed a
fever and a sore throat. When
his condition became so bad that
Washington could no longer
swallow the concoctions of
vinegar, molasses, and butter
with which he was trying to
treat himself, Washington called
in his livestock and slave
overseer, who drained
three-quarters of a pint of
blood from the ailing man. When
bleeding failed to have the
desired effect, three physicians
were called in, all of whom
recommended emetics and — you
guessed it — more blood to be
drawn. Over the brief course of
his treatment, Washington's
stomach and bowels were
repeatedly evacuated and the
puncture-happy docs took nearly
two and a half liters of blood.
Just two days after that fateful
morning ride, Washington closed
his eyes for the final time,
after telling his doctors, "I
die hard, but I am not afraid to
go."
But Washington's body was not
buried immediately after his
death. The president may not
have feared death, but he did
fear being buried alive. Before
he died, he commanded his
secretary, Tobias Lear, to make
sure that he would not be
entombed less than three days
after he died. In accordance
with Washington's wishes, his
body was put on ice until it
could be moved to the family
vault.
That's where the story gets a
little strange. The morning
after Washington died, his
step-granddaughter Elizabeth Law
arrived with a family friend,
William Thornton. History best
remembers Thornton as the
architect who created the
original design for the Capitol
building, but he was also a
trained physician, having
studied at the University of
Edinburgh. Although he did not
practice medicine for much of
his life, Thornton always had a
keen interest in the workings of
the human body, and he suggested
a novel method for resurrecting
the fallen warrior. Thornton
told Washington's wife Martha
that he wanted to thaw
Washington's body by the fire
and have it rubbed vigorously
with blankets. Then he planned
to perform a tracheotomy so he
could insert a bellows into
Washington's throat and pump his
lungs full of air, and finally
to give Washington an infusion
of lamb's blood. Friends and
family declined Thornton's mad
scientist offer, not because
they thought his solution
impossible, but because they
felt the nation's first
president should rest in peace.
So what gave Thornton the idea
to play Dr. Frankenstein? Susan
E. Lederer, author of the book
Flesh and Blood: Organ
Transplantation and Blood
Transfusion in Twentieth-Century
America, notes that many
physicians in the late 18th
Century believed that lamb's
blood had special properties,
and believes Thornton meant to
give Washington's circulatory
system "a spark of vitality"
that might jolt him back to
life. But Paul Schmidt, in his
article "Forgotten transfusion
history: John Leacock of
Barbados" published in the
British Medical Journal,
suggests that the University of
Edinburgh may have been on the
forefront of transfusion
research (unless you count all
those transfusion experiments in
17th-Century France). Thornton
wasn't the only Edinburgh alum
thinking about blood
transfusions during that time
period. Philip Syng Physick, an
earlier Edinburgh grad (who
incidentally practiced in
Philadelphia, where Thornton
himself briefly practiced
medicine), is reported to have
performed a human blood
transfusion as early as 1795.
John Leacock, a later graduate,
performed successful transfusion
experiments, believing an
infusion of blood would "excite"
the recipient heart. Leacock's
experiments in turn influenced
James Blundell, who is credited
with introducing the process to
the mainstream medical
community. Schmidt wonders if
the Edinburgh community took
particular interest in those
early French transfusion
experiments, planting the idea
in Thornton's mind.
Oddly, reanimation wasn't
Thornton's only thwarted plan
for Washington's body. Thornton
secretly included a burial vault
in his designs for the Capitol,
hoping that it would be
Washington's final resting
place. After Washington's coffin
was placed in the family vault,
Martha did agree that he could
be later removed to the Capitol,
on the grounds that her body
could join his when she died.
Alas, the transfer of burial
chambers, like zombie Washington
himself, was not meant to be.
Story discovered via Holly
Tucker's book Blood Work: A Tale
of Medicine and Murder in the
Scientific Revolution, which
details a series of blood
transfusion experiments
undertaken more than a century
before Washington's death.
