THE AMERICAN GESTAPO DEPARTMENT -
Bush Says Feds Can Open
Mail Without Warrants
President Bush has quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open
Americans' mail without a judge's warrant, the Daily News has learned.
The President asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform
bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a "signing statement" that
declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions.
That claim is contrary to existing law and contradicted the bill he had
just signed, say experts who have reviewed it.
Bush's move came during the winter congressional recess and a year
after his secret domestic electronic eavesdropping program was first
revealed. It caught Capitol Hill by surprise.
"Despite the President's statement that he may be able to circumvent a
basic privacy protection, the new postal law continues to prohibit the
government from snooping into people's mail without a warrant," said
Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.), the incoming House Government Reform
Committee chairman, who co-sponsored the bill.
Experts said the new powers could be easily abused and used to vacuum
up large amounts of mail.
"The [Bush] signing statement claims authority to open domestic mail
without a warrant, and that would be new and quite alarming," said Kate
Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies in
Washington.
"The danger is they're reading Americans' mail," she said.
"You have to be concerned," agreed a career senior U.S. official who
reviewed the legal underpinnings of Bush's claim. "It takes Executive
Branch authority beyond anything we've ever known."
A top Senate Intelligence Committee aide promised, "It's something
we're going to look into."
Most of the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act deals with
mundane reform measures. But it also explicitly reinforced protections
of first-class mail from searches without a court's approval.
Yet in his statement Bush said he will "construe" an exception, "which
provides for opening of an item of a class of mail otherwise sealed
against inspection in a manner consistent ... with the need to conduct
searches in exigent circumstances."
Bush cited as examples the need to "protect human life and safety
against hazardous materials and the need for physical searches
specifically authorized by law for foreign intelligence collection."
White House spokeswoman Emily Lawrimore denied Bush was claiming any
new authority.
"In certain circumstances - such as with the proverbial 'ticking bomb'
- the Constitution does not require warrants for reasonable searches,"
she said.
Bush, however, cited "exigent circumstances" which could refer to an
imminent danger or a longstanding state of emergency.
Critics point out the administration could quickly get a warrant from a
criminal court or a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court judge to
search targeted mail, and the Postal Service could block delivery in
the meantime.
But the Bush White House appears to be taking no chances on a judge
saying no while a terror attack is looming, national security experts
agreed.
Martin said that Bush is "using the same legal reasoning to justify
warrantless opening of domestic mail" as he did with warrantless
eavesdropping.

Did Probes Find Martian Life ... or Kill it Off?
Researcher says spacecraft
could have destroyed peroxide-based microbes.
Two NASA space probes that visited Mars 30 years ago may have stumbled
upon alien microbes on the Red Planet and inadvertently killed them, a
scientist theorizes in a paper released Sunday.
The problem was the Viking space probes of 1976-77 were looking for the
wrong kind of life and didn’t recognize it, the researcher said in a
paper presented at a meeting of the American Astronomical Society in
Seattle.
This new report, based on a more expansive view of where life can take
root, may have NASA looking for a different type of Martian life form
when its next Mars spacecraft is launched later this year.
Last month, scientists excitedly reported that new photographs of Mars
showed geologic changes suggesting water occasionally flows there — the
most tantalizing sign that Mars is hospitable to life.
In the ’70s, the Viking mission found no signs of life. But it was
looking for Earthlike life, in which salt water is the internal liquid
of living cells. Given the cold dry conditions of Mars, that life could
have evolved on Mars with the key internal fluid consisting of a mix of
water and hydrogen peroxide, said Dirk Schulze-Makuch, author of the
new research.
That’s because a water-hydrogen peroxide mix stays liquid at very low
temperatures (68 degrees below zero Fahrenheit, or -56 degrees
Celsius), doesn’t destroy cells when it freezes, and can suck scarce
water vapor out of the air.
Did Viking kill Martian microbes?
The Viking experiments of the ’70s wouldn’t have noticed alien hydrogen
peroxide-based life and, in fact, would have killed it by drowning and
overheating the microbes, said Schulze-Makuch, a geology professor at
Washington State University.
One Viking experiment seeking life on Mars poured water on soil. That
would have essentially drowned hydrogen peroxide-based life,
Schulze-Makuch said. A different experiment heated the soil to see if
something would happen, but that would have baked Martian microbes, he
said.
“The problem was that they didn’t have any clue about the environment
on Mars at that time,” Schulze-Makuch said. “This kind of adaptation
makes sense from a biochemical viewpoint.”
Even Earth has something somewhat related. He points to an Earth bug
called the bombardier beetle, which produces a boiling-hot spray that
is 25 percent hydrogen peroxide as a defense weapon.
Schulze-Makuch acknowledges he can’t prove that Martian microbes exist,
but given the Martian environment and how evolution works, “it makes
sense.”
In recent years, scientists have found life on Earth in conditions that
were once thought too harsh, such as an ultra-acidic river in Spain and
ice-covered lakes in Antarctica.
Schulze-Makuch’s research coincides with work being completed by a
National Research Council panel nicknamed the “weird life” committee.
The group worries that scientists may be too Earth-centric when looking
for extraterrestrial life. The problem for scientists is that “you only
find what you’re looking for,” said Penn State University geosciences
professor Katherine Freeman, a reviewer of the NRC work.
A new NASA Mars mission called Phoenix is set for launch this summer,
and one of the scientists involved said he is eager to test the new
theory about life on Mars. However, scientists must come up with a way
to do that using the mission’s existing scientific instruments, said
NASA astrobiologist and Phoenix co-investigator Chris McKay. He said
the WSU scientist’s paper piqued his interest.
“Logical consistency is nice, but it’s not enough anymore,” McKay said.
Other experts said the new concept has a certain logic to it, but more
work is needed before they are convinced.
“I’m open to the possibility that it could be the case,” said
astrobiologist Mitch Sogin of the Marine Biological Lab in Woods Hole,
Mass., and a member of the National Research Council committee. But he
cautioned against “just-so stories about what is possible.”

TIVO OF THE SOUL DEPARTMENT -
Ghosts: The 'Stone Tape'
Theory
For many years paranormal investigators have spoken about the 'Stone
tape' theory as a possible explanation for certain classes of ghostly
activity.
The hypothesis being that rather like a TV programme can be recorded
onto iron particles coated onto a plastic tape, then events can be
recorded into the very fabric of buildings or indeed the surrounding
Earth. The events can be played back at a later time thus causing the
viewer to interpret the playback as a ghost.
The main problem with the Stone tape theory has always been that nobody
can find a satisfactory explanation as to how or why the recording
actually takes places or how the solid structure and fabric of a
location is able to retain the events that took place.
There is another possible hypothesis that is emerging that may well
explain how such a mechanism might work and it is supported by some
scientists although their research has been in an unrelated area of
study and they do not seem to have made the link to it being a
potential explanation for some classes of ghost.
The answer might lie in a substance that is a part of just about every
location where ghosts might be found - common water!
For well over 200 years people have been using homeopathic medicines
and remedies, they are used by millions of people worldwide with much
reported success.
A natural therapeutic agent is given to the sufferer but this agent is
often an antagonist and toxic so that in order to prevent the person
from being further harmed they diluted the therapeutic agent in water.
In fact they diluted the original substance down so much that
effectively all trace of the original agent was removed and the patient
was given nothing more than ordinary water.
Of course, science could never accept this as a real world treatment -
you can't give someone nothing but water and expect them to get better
- but they got better regardless. Science simply ignored it and people
continued to use the treatments without really caring how or why they
treatment worked.
This all changed in the 1980's when an eminent French scientist Jacques
Benveniste, an expert in the field of allergy, made a rather strange
discovery.
In particular he was studying a type of blood cell involved in allergic
reactions - the basophile. When basophiles come into contact with
something you're sensitive to they become activated causing the
telltale symptoms. Benveniste had developed a test that could tell if a
person was allergic to something or not. He added a kind of dye that
only turns inactive basophiles blue, so by counting the blue cells he
could work out whether there had been a reaction, but then something
utterly unexpected started to happen.
A technician reported that something appeared to have gone wrong with
an experiment, a solution had been wrongly diluted - to levels similar
to those used by homeopaths, and yet a reaction had been observed in
the basophiles, they reacted just the same as if they had been placed
in the presence of the allergen.
Suspecting an error had been made the experiment was repeated but again
the basophiles reacted - this did not seem to be possible.
Baffled the team carried out hundreds of experiments in which the
results remained consistent. The water, diluted until all trace of the
original substance was removed continued to react as if the substance
was still present - the water appeared to have a memory!
The experiment was repeatable and since that time has been repeated by
many researchers in labs around the World. Although there remains some
controversy about this repeatability many scientists now accept that
the water molecules do seem to be able to retain a memory for the
substances in which they have been in contact.
Now for the purposes of this musing it serves little purpose to
continue with a discussion as to pros and cons of homeopathy but let us
consider the possibility that water might indeed be able to develop a
memory. Instead of a Stone tape how about a 'Water Tape' theory?
Water exists as a component of most things - an average brick wall for
instance is between 7 and 15% water, the ground also has high water
content, as indeed do we!
Let us imagine that by some mechanism the water in everyday objects
could have a memory of events placed into its molecules - how could
that happen?
Homeopathic practitioners may again be able to help us out here - they
have realised that in order to make a remedy it is an important step to
strongly agitate the water at every dilution stage - they stress that
this is important in order for the water to pick-up the therapeutic
properties of the agent being diluted.
When they agitate the water in this vigorous fashion they are releasing
large amounts of kinetic energy into the water, the water also develops
a small and slight electro-magnetic charge by this rapid motion, this
may well be the energy that is then used to allow the memory to be
implanted into the water.
Now let's substitute an event or person who by their actions or mental
processes emits sufficient energy to allow the water molecules in
nearby structures to become 'fixed' with a memory or record of an event
that was taking place. The method may even be easier than that; imagine
that our person instead simply exhales, that simple act releases a
large quantity of water vapour in the exhaled air, that water vapour
has an imprinted memory of the person. The water vapour droplets float
free eventually bonding with water droplets in the fabric of the
building or location. As they bond, the memory becomes shared and so
becomes fixed into the building or landscape.
It is possible to reinforce our case for the existence of a 'Water
tape' still further by examining some aspects of ghostly activity that
are often associated with the former stone tape theory.
Ghosts seem to have a limited lifespan and almost a 'half-life', fading
with time until they are no longer observable. Water in time evaporates
and as the original molecules evaporate and disperse the copy of the
memory they hold becomes weaker and fainter. The original molecules
would continue to pass their imprinted memory to neighbouring molecules
but with each successive copy the memory becomes less clear and
distinct - this would be similar to making many successive copies of a
video tape, each copy generation being less clear and more fuzzy than
the ones that went before it. The water may evaporate completely for
example when the location is subject to high levels of heat or other
desiccating factors; this would cause the imprinted memory to disappear
completely.
Sometimes ghosts are seen to become 'active' following a disturbance
such as when renovation or demolition is carried out. Again, the water
tape may offer an explanation for this particular phenomena:
Deep inside some structures the water may be 'locked' and prevented
from evaporation - deep inside the ground or inside a wall or in the
foundations of a structure for example. Disturbing that security may
cause the water that has been stored perhaps for decades to be released
and thus permit its stored memories to be replayed. This stored water
would retain a higher quality copy of the original event memory and
thus the ghost may be witnessed as a strongly perceived event. Once the
water has evaporated then the ghost will fade in a short time - a
feature seen in certain reported ghost cases.
Ghosts are also frequently reported in places where there is a close
association with water in the environment, such as a stream for
example, this constant supply of water may help to retain the imprinted
memory or the high levels of saturation may reduce the amount of the
original memory molecules evaporating and thus retain the 'freshness'
of the event memory recording.
Of course all this is simply nothing more than a series of speculations
and musings and full of problems and pitfalls.
There remains no hard evidence for the ability of water to be able to
develop a memory in the first place but it is interesting how many
times in the various labs and experiments the results seem to show this
ability.
How then can these imprinted memories be replayed, this could be by a
reverse of the recording mechanism for example - the witness has the
correct brain physiology and is able to read these recordings as they
are played back. Perhaps more simply, the witness may inhale a droplet
of water vapour from the air that contains a memory imprinted within it
- as this molecule reaches the brain it triggers a wave of copies
across the Cerebral Spinal Fluid and thus the brain sees the event as a
playback of the encoded events.
How can we devise experiments to test these ideas - simply put,
currently we can't - not yet. Scientists are still struggling with the
idea that water even has the ability to develop a memory. The Stone
tape idea has only been tested in a very limited way and no evidence
other than anecdotal has been put forward to support he notion of solid
matter being able to record events. With a little time to develop the
Water tape theory further and a few more minds working on the idea then
perhaps a few experiments will start to be developed and tested in labs
and in the field.
The whole concept is currently nothing more than the ramblings of an
over active imagination but the more one thinks about it, the better
the hypothesis that instead of a Stone tape we should thinking of a
'Water Tape'.
The initial article mused on the possibilities that water may have an
ability to retain information - in effect a memory. It also suggested
that the same possibility might provide a better hypothesis for the
recording ghost than does the frequently quoted 'Stone Tape' idea. It
ended by saying the whole thing is currently nothing more than the
ramblings of an over-active imagination and that it is currently
attestable. Further research by us has revealed that much of this
musing was far from an original idea and also that a great deal of
active research is currently being conducted into the possibilities of
water being a viable medium for recording.
In the early 1960's following his retirement, archaeologist and
paranormal investigator T. C. Lethbridge visited a beach close to his
home in Devon with his wife. After they had both experienced unusually
powerful emotions close to a small stream at the site of an earlier
suicide. The unexpected emotions led him to develop a theory that the
water could tape record strong emotions. He developed this idea over a
number of years suggesting that what does the recording is some kind of
magnetic field associated with the water.
Science has now brought this idea right up to date with many eminent
scientists subscribing to and testing the notion that water can retain
some form of memory.
Almost echoing Lethbridge's pioneering suggestion is the work of the
Heartmath research Centre who has developed technology that can detect
and measure the capacity of water to amplify weak electromagnetic
fields. They have found that the electromagnetic field produced by the
human heart can be detected in a glass of water placed several feet
away. They have also demonstrated that water exposed to weak
electromagnetic fields has the property of amplifying the signal many
times.
In another line of research Dr. David Schweitzer, the grandson of
Albert Schweitzer is the first scientist to photograph the effects of
thoughts captured within water. Following from the pioneering research
of French scientist Jacques Benveniste, Schweitzer has developed a
fluorescent microscope that enabled him to see how minute particles
within the water were changed in response to thoughts and other
influences.
Prior to his recent death, Benveniste continued with his original
studies with water in relation to it's homeopathic abilities and
discovered that electronic circuits can impress lasting information
into the water and that low frequency electromagnetic radiation also
affects the ability of the water to retain the 'memory information'.
Professor Emeritus William Tiller working with co-researcher Walter
Dibble Jr. in the USA have had a great deal of success in significantly
altering the pH of water by getting test subjects to 'impress' their
thoughts and intentions into the water. They describe the water as
being "A special material, well suited for information / energy
transfer from the intention domain into our conventional domain of
cognition".
Dr. Glen Rein has gone on the record stating that Physicists are aware
of the existence of energy fields with properties, which are not
explained by classical equations. He refers to these non-classical
fields as quantum fields. Work by Rein and his team has shown that this
non-electromagnetic information from the primordial vacuum of space can
be stored in water and can later be communicated with living cells.
The above represent but a fraction of the ongoing work at more than a
dozen Universities and Research Institutes around the World who are
looking closely at the ability of water to retain information. Even
NASA is exploring the uses of water as a memory medium for future space
exploration probes!
It is also clear that water on it's own is not the simple solution to
the creation of recording ghosts (if they actually exist!). If it were
then we must surely be inundated with spooky recordings being played
back all over the place. There are many more factors that must be
considered.
Some of the research suggests that electromagnetism also plays a key
part in the process of water memory and it would seem that the
individual too as recipient or donor of the original 'event memory
recording' is part of the process.
So, it would appear that the Stone tape - that 'cornerstone' of
paranormal explanations is dead. The 'Water Memory' should now be given
the serious consideration of us all. There is even scope for some
relatively simple research to be commenced by the field investigator.
Perhaps we could start the ball rolling by making serious observations
and measurements of the amounts of water present within the 'haunted'
locations themselves. A simple hygrometer can keep an eye on the
humidity levels and there are also meters available that can be used
non-invasively to measure the amounts of water within the structure and
fabric of a building. Over time we will start to build a database of
the water and humidity levels at 'haunted' sites and also the important
control sites with no 'haunted' reputation.
With sufficient data we may see sufficient evidence emerge which will
mean that we can finally cease to explain one mystery by invoking
another (The Stone Tape) and instead be able to refer to the
demonstrable and repeatable Water-Memory to explain some
classifications of ghostly phenomena.

Scientists find Extraterrestrial genes in Human DNA
Do civilizations of advanced
human beings exist scattered in the Galaxy?
A group of researchers working at the Human Genome Project indicate
that they made an astonishing scientific discovery: They believe
so-called 97% non-coding sequences in human DNA is no less than genetic
code of extraterrestrial life forms.
The non-coding sequences are common to all living organisms on Earth,
from molds to fish to humans. In human DNA, they constitute larger
part of the total genome, says Prof. Sam Chang, the group leader.
Non-coding sequences, originally known as "junk DNA", were discovered
years ago, and their function remained a mystery. The overwhelming
majority of Human DNA is “Off-world” in origin. The apparent
“extraterrestrial junk genes” merely “enjoy the ride” with hard working
active genes, passed from generation to generation.
After comprehensive analysis with the assistance of other scientists,
computer programmers, mathematicians, and other learned scholars,
Professor Chang had wondered if the apparently “junk Human DNA” was
created by some kind of “extraterrestrial programmer”. The alien chunks
within Human DNA, Professor Chang further observes, “have its own
veins, arteries, and its own immune system that vigorously resists all
our anti-cancer drugs.”
Professor Chang further stipulates that "Our hypothesis is that a
higher extraterrestrial life form was engaged in creating new life and
planting it on various planets. Earth is just one of them. Perhaps,
after programming, our creators grow us the same way we grow bacteria
in Petri dishes. We can’t know their motives - whether it was a
scientific experiment, or a way of preparing new planets for
colonization, or is it long time ongoing business of seedling life in
the universe.”
Professor Chang further indicates that “If we think about it in our
human terms, the apparent “extraterrestrial programmers” were most
probably working on “one big code” consisting of several projects, and
the projects should have produced various life forms for various
planets. They have been also trying various solutions. They wrote “the
big code“, executed it, did not like some function, changed them or
added new one, executed again, made more improvements, tried again and
again.”
Professor Chang’s team of researchers furthermore concludes that, “The
apparent “extraterrestrial programmers” may have been ordered to cut
all their idealistic plans for the future when they concentrated on the
“Earth project” to meet the pressing deadline. Very likely in an
apparent rush, the “extraterrestrial programmers” may have cut down
drastically on big code and delivered basic program intended for Earth.“
Professor Chang is only one of many scientists and other researchers
who have discovered extraterrestrial origins to Humanity.
Professor Chang and his research colleagues show that apparent
“extraterrestrial programming” gaps in DNA sequencing precipitated by a
hypothesized rush to create human life on Earth presented humankind
with illogical growth of mass of cells we know as cancer."
Professor Chang further indicates that “What we see in our DNA is a
program consisting of two versions, a big code and basic code.” Mr.
Chang then affirms that the “First fact is, the complete ‘program’ was
positively not written on Earth; that is now a verified fact. The
second fact is, that genes by themselves are not enough to explain
evolution; there must be something more in ‘the game‘.”
“Soon or later”, Professor Chang says “we have to come to grips with
the unbelievable notion that every life on Earth carries genetic code
for his extraterrestrial cousin and that evolution is not what we think
it is.”
The implications of these scientific finds would reinforce claims by
other scientists and observers of having contact with ‘off-world' human
looking extraterrestrials.
The ‘off-world' human looking extraterrestrial have been claimed to
have provided some of the genetic material for human evolution, and
that many of these extraterrestrials have allowed some of their
personnel to incarnate as ‘star seeds' on Earth in human families.
These “star seeds“, “star children” or “star people” are described by
Brad and Francie Steiger as individuals whose ‘souls' were formally
incarnated on the worlds of other star systems and then traveled to
Earth and decided to incarnate here in order to “boost” the spiritual
evolutionary development of humanity. Most of humanity would consider
this group of extraterrestrials to be ‘benevolent' as described by
‘contactees' such as George Adamski, Orfeo Angelucci, George Van
Tassell, Howard Menger, Paul Villa, Billy Meier and Alex Collier who
each explain the nature of their voluntary interactions with these
human looking extraterrestrials. These “contactees” often provide
physical evidence in the form of photographs, film and/or witnesses of
their contacts with extraterrestrial races. The most extensively
documented and researched contactee is Eduard ‘Billy' Meier who
provided much physical evidence for investigators.
Indeed, ‘ancient astronaut’ writers believe that a race of intelligent
extraterrestrial beings visited and/or colonised Earth in the remote
past, whereupon they upgraded the primitive hominid Homo erectus by
means of genetic engineering to create the human race as we know it:
Homo sapiens.
Evidence for this idea is found (a) in the improbability of Homo
sapiens emerging so suddenly, according to the principles of orthodox
Darwinism; and (b) in the myths of ancient civilisations which describe
human-like gods coming down from the heavens and creating mankind ‘in
their own image’.Homo sapiens is thus regarded as a hybrid being,
incorporating a mix of terrestrial genes from Homo erectus and
extraterrestrial genes from an ascribed “race of the gods“.
Prior to the modern age of space travel and genetics, this theory for
the origins of humankind could not have been conceived. And even now,
in the 21st century, there are many people who would regard it as
science fiction. However, in the light of the problems with the
orthodox theory of human evolution, the idea of a genetic intervention
by an intelligent human-like species (who themselves evolved on another
planet over a more credible time frame) does require to be taken
seriously as a potential solution to the mystery.
The most famous exponents of the ancient astronaut intervention are the
Swiss writer Erich von Daniken and the American writer Zecharia
Sitchin. The latter, in particular, has argued the case in great detail.
Dr. Micheal E. Salla is one of the founders of an Exopolitics movement
which seeks an open and informed dialogue on, and with,
Extraterrestrials, toward the affirmation of “global democracy” and the
quality-of-living of humankind as socially responsible beings in the
Universe. Dr. Salla indicates that “There are an extensive number of
extraterrestrial races known [by various research institutions and
agencies] to be currently interacting with Earth and the human
population.
Dr. Salla, is also the author of Exopolitics: Political Implications of
the Extraterrestrial Presence (Dandelion Books, 2004). He has held full
time academic appointments at the Australian National University, and
American University, Washington DC. He has a Ph.D. in Government from
the University of Queensland, Australia. During his professional
academic career, he was best known for organizing a series of citizen
diplomacy initiatives for the East Timor conflict funded by U.S.
Institute of Peace and the Ford Foundation. He is also the Founder of
the Exopolitics Institute ; and Chief Editor of the ‘Exopolitics
Journal’ and Convener of the “Extraterrestrial Civilizations and World
Peace Conference.”
In a 1998 interview, Clifford Stone, a retired U.S. army Sergeant who
served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and allegedly participated in
operations to retrieve crashed extraterrestrial ships and
extraterrestrial biological entities (EBE’s), revealed there were a
variety of extraterrestrial races known [by various institutions and
agencies]”. Dr. Salla further elaborates that “The most compelling
testimonies on the different extraterrestrial races comes from
‘whistleblowers’ such as Sergeant Stone; and also ‘contactees’ who have
had direct physical contact with extraterrestrials and communicated
with them.”
Dr. Salla further notes that Master Sergeant Bob Dean had a twenty
seven year distinguished career in very senior areas of the military
indicates that among the know extraterrestrials one group “looked so
much like us they could sit next to you on a plane or in a restaurant
and you'd never know the difference."
Apparently “Human extraterrestrial races can easily integrate with
human society in the manner described by Dean and others where they can
be indistinguishable from the rest of humanity.” Dr. Salla corroborates.
According to Alex Collier who claims to be a “contactee“, “a variety of
extraterrestrial races have provided genetic material for the ‘human
experiment‘. “ Alex Collier indicates that “Earth humans” are “a
product of extraterrestrial genetic manipulation, and are possessors of
a vast gene pool consisting of many different racial memory banks, also
consisting of at least 22 different races.”
Alex Collier further claims that constituents of “Human ETs” seek to
“ensure that global humanity evolves in a responsible way without
endangering both itself and the greater galactic community of which it
is part. “ Exopolitics groups and independent contactees also indicate
that constituents of “Human ETs” seek to “uplift human consciousness
and to promote the unity of religion.”
Alex Colliers alleged contact with ETs suggest that fundamentalist
messages in from Christianity to Judaism to Islam, and other
institutionalized religions, as well as outright apparent ‘cult’
groups, have been specifically placed by “hostile elements” to
manipulate and control humankind.
Jesus, who many groups allege was a “Human ET” sought to inspire the
social consciousness of humankind toward unity, and not to create a
“Christian religion”, with its sexually repressive as well as
homophobic undertones, which also have been used for the execution of
racism, and to legitimate atrocities like the ‘slave trade‘.
ETs who allegedly contacted Alex Collier, also further allegedly
stipulate that Jesus did in fact live; and lived out the rest of his
life in Massada; and that Jesus was only crucified through the
religious doctrine, and myth-making associated with ‘the palms‘.
As far as the “saviour scenario” is concerned, for example, Alex
Collier was allegedly told by ETs that it has been put into our belief
systems to “disempower us.” The saviour scenario within the dogma of
institutionalized religions legitimate the creation of an elite-driven
oppressive power structure who appoint themselves as “judgers of
morality“. These religious elites have historically used their
self-appointed roles to execute a comprehensive system of social
controls that complement their joint pursuit of greed-oriented
self-aggrandizement with other elites from government to business
enterprises.
The alleged efforts of socially progressive Human ETs to inspire the
affirmation of the quality-of-living of ‘Earth Humans’ through
spiritual and other “emissaries”, have been undermined by the efforts
of “capitalists” to exploit such alleged initiatives in the pursuit of
an oppressive agenda of greed and fascistic power.
Constituents of Human ETs allegedly seek to “help humanity find freedom
from oppressive structures through education and consciousness raising.”
In Dr. Salla’s article “Extraterrestrials Among Us” published in
October 2006, he alleges that, “There is startling evidence from a
number of independent sources that ‘human looking’ extraterrestrial
visitors have integrated with and lived in major population centres up
until recently, and this is known by a select number of institutions.
Aside from whistleblower testimonies, like Sergeant Major Robert Dean,
a number of private individuals claim to have encountered
extraterrestrials posing as ordinary citizens in major cities around
the planet.
George Adamski was the first to write about extraterrestrials secretly
living among the human population. In his second non-fiction book
describing his extraterrestrial contact experiences, “Inside the Flying
Saucers“, Adamski discussed how human looking extraterrestrials had
established a presence among the human population. “They apparently
looked so much like us”, Dr. Salla notes “that they could get jobs,
lived in neighbourhoods, drove cars, and could blend in easily with the
human population.”
Dr. Salla further notes that “Adamski wrote about how they contacted
him to set up meetings that led to his famous flights aboard
extraterrestrial vehicles.” But as Dr. Salla explains “While
controversy over Adamski’s contact experiences and his credibility
continues, Adamski’s UFO sightings and contacts with extraterrestrials
were supported by an impressive collection of witnesses, photographs
and films that a number of independent investigators concluded were not
hoaxes.”
Dr. Salla additionally stipulates that “Adamski’s testimony offers
important insights into how extraterrestrials may be living incognito
among the human population. After discussing the Adamski case and the
strongest evidence supporting it, Dr. Salla in that article further
discusses other contactees similarly claiming to have encountered
extraterrestrials acting like ordinary citizens. Finally, Dr. Salla in
“Extraterrestrials Among Us” examines the official testimony of a
number of whistleblowers concerning knowledge that extraterrestrials
live among ordinary Earth-bound individuals.
Adamski’s famous “Desert Center” meeting with an extraterrestrial
emerging from a ‘scout ship’ on November 20, 1952 was apparently seen
by six witnesses who signed affidavits confirming Adamski’s version of
events in his subsequent book, The Flying Saucers have Landed (1953).
In fact, four of the witnesses immediately reported what had happened
to a nearby newspaper, the Phoenix Gazette, that published a story on
November 24 featuring photos and sketches.
The Desert Center encounter was among those of Adamski’s claims
regarding extraterrestrial contact that, according to UFO researcher
Timothy Good, were “accurately reported,” and “sensible and
verifiable”, as footnotes by Dr. Salla. Given the clear supporting
evidence supporting Adamski’s first meeting with an extraterrestrial
traveling in a scout craft, it is worth examining closely his alleged
subsequent meetings with extraterrestrials living on Earth.
In the first chapter of Inside the Flying Saucers, Dr. Salla re-visits
Adamski’s testimony of his meeting with two extraterrestrials while he
was sitting in the lobby of a Los Angeles Hotel on February 18, 1953.
“I looked at my wrist watch and saw that it said ten-thirty. The
lateness of the hour, with still nothing of extraordinary significance
having taken place, sent a wave of disappointment through me. And just
at this moment of depression, two men approached, one of whom addressed
me by name. Both were complete strangers, but there was no hesitancy in
their manner as they came forward, and nothing in their appearance to
indicate that they were other than average young businessmen… I noted
that both men were well proportioned. One was slightly over six feet
and looked to be in his early thirties. His complexion was ruddy, his
eyes dark brown, with the kind of sparkle that suggests great enjoyment
of life. His gaze was extraordinarily penetrating. His black hair waved
and was cut according to our style. He wore a dark brown business suit
but no hat. The shorter man looked younger and I judged his height to
be about five feet, nine inches. He had a round boyish face, a fair
complexion and eyes of grayish blue. His hair, also wavy and worn in
our style, was sandy in color. He was dressed in a gray suit and was
also hatless. He smiled as he addressed me by name. As I acknowledged
the greeting, the speaker extended his hand and when it touched mine a
great joy filled me. The signal was the same as had been given by the
man I had met on the desert on that memorable November 20, 1952.
(Described in the book Flying Saucers Have Landed).”
Significant in Adamski’s description is how the two extraterrestrials
could pass off as businessmen. Aside from a penetrating stare, nothing
struck him as unusual in their appearance. Adamski goes on to explain
how he went with them in their car to travel to a remote desert
location:
“Together we left the lobby, I walking between them. About a block
north of the hotel, they turned into a parking lot where they had a car
waiting. They had not spoken during this short time, yet inwardly I
knew that these men were true friends. I felt no urge to ask where they
proposed to take me, nor did it seem odd that they had volunteered no
information. An attendant brought the car around, and the younger man
slid into the driver’s seat, motioning me to get in beside him. Our
other companion also sat with us on the front seat. The car was a
four-door black Pontiac sedan. The man who had taken the wheel seemed
to know exactly where he was going and drove skillfully. I am not
familiar with all the new highways leading out of Los Angeles, so I had
no idea in which direction we were headed. We rode in silence and I
remained entirely content to wait for my companions to identify
themselves and explain the reason for our meeting.”
“What’s significant here is that the two extraterrestrials possessed a
car and knew how to navigate on the newly completed Los Angeles highway
system. This is no mean feat and suggests that the extraterrestrials
had taken the time to learn the road traffic rules and how to navigate
through Los Angeles.”
Dr. Salla indicates in “Extraterrestrials Among Us”, that Adamski
further reveals:
“Lights and dwellings thinned as we left the outskirts of the city. The
taller man spoke for the first time… His voice was soft and pleasant
and his English perfect. I had noticed that the younger man also spoke
softly, although his voice was pitched higher. I found myself wondering
how and where they had learned to speak our language so well.”
“…We are what you on Earth might call ‘Contact men.’ We live and work
here, because, as you know, it is necessary on Earth to earn money with
which to buy clothing, food, and the many things that people must have.
We have lived on your planet now for several years. At first we did
have a slight accent. But that has been overcome and, as you can see,
we are unrecognized as other than Earth men. “At our work and in our
leisure time we mingle with people here on Earth, never betraying the
secret that we are inhabitants of other worlds. That would be
dangerous, as you well know. We understand you people better than most
of you know yourselves and can plainly see the reasons for many of the
unhappy conditions that surround you.”
Dr. Salla indicates also that, “This passage [previous] is significant
since it describes how the extraterrestrials have spent years living on
Earth, learning the language, getting jobs and mixing with the human
population. Furthermore, it appears as though extraterrestrials living
among the human population may work in pairs, a kind of buddy system
that would make sense in terms of ensuring safety and communications
with the home world if an emergency ever occurred. If Adamski is
accurate in his recollections and the extraterrestrials are telling the
truth, then it would appear that there could be a significant number of
extraterrestrials who are living incognito among the normal population
in many if not most major cities on the planet. Upon examining other
contactee cases and the testimonies of whistleblowers, it does appear
as though this is indeed the case.”
Exopolitics groups furthermore provide additional representation that
Adamski was not the only one of the contactees making representation
that extraterrestrials were blending in with the human population.
Howard Menger, for example. also claimed to have been contacted by
extraterrestrials posing as ordinary human citizens. In one case, the
extraterrestrial was posing as a real estate salesperson and asked
Menger to accompany him in one of the extraterrestrial’s vehicle.
In addition to seeking to learn about human values and civilization, it
appears that “Human ET” visitors were conducting a low key education
effort to promote awareness of their presence to a limited number of
individual ‘contactees’.
These “Human extraterrestrial visitors” have been represented has often
having as very attractive physical characteristics, with “Human
extraterrestrial females” being described as among the most beautiful
women that male observers have witnessed.
The “Human extraterrestrials visitors” furthermore have been
represented as going to great trouble in learning the indigenous
language of the culture they are immersed in, learning how to drive and
navigate on highways systems, and taking innocuous jobs over several
years.
Extraterrestrials living among us appear to be operating in a manner
similar to a “celestial peace corps” where they try to blend in. They
presumably wish to learn about Earth culture and behaviour; and to,
perhaps, assist in passing on information to selected individuals.
Representation on Earth Humans relative to “non-Earthbound” humans:
Advanced Human ETs as viewing Earth Humans as barbarians and savages
which are a threat to themselves
Alex Collier alleges that ETs revealed to his that there are over 135
other billion human beings in the 8 galaxies closest to ours.
Alex Collier alleges that “The first time I walked on to one of their
ships [Human ETs] , a bunch of their children started to run away from
me. They knew that I was from Earth.”
“We have a very bad reputation,” Alex Collier indicates, “because we
are the only human race in the galaxy that kills itself, that turns on
itself. We are the only race [human] that allows itself to live in
poverty. We are the only ones who allow members of our race to starve.
We are the only ones that allow members of the race to be homeless. We
are the only race that would sell itself into slavery. I don’t like the
reflection they give me of us. It’s not that they are judging. They
just don’t understand why we do it. If anyone’s got an answer for it,
I’m open. Yes, we’ve been manipulated by belief systems, but why do we
believe these belief systems?”
According to testimony by Alex Collier in associated with alleged ET
contacts, Earth Humans “are the only race of human beings which
oppresses and kills itself.”
If Human ETs do exist, as scholarly and other representation suggests,
the saving of Humanity from its current apparent course of
self-destruction, including on-going catastrophic Global Warming, may
very well vitally rely on human governance systems placing its
greed-driven bigotries aside, toward a constructive dialogue.

JUST FALLING FROM THE SKY DEPARTMENT -
Mysterious Bird Deaths
Baffle Authorities
Police shut down 10 blocks in downtown Austin, Texas for several hours
on January 8 after 63 birds were found dead in the street, but
officials said preliminary tests found no threat to people.
Workers in yellow hazardous-materials suits tested for contaminants in
a cordoned-off section near the state Capitol and the governor’s
mansion before authorities finally gave the all-clear in the afternoon.
Although officials could not immediately determine whether poison or
something else killed the birds, “there’s no threat to humans at this
point,” said Assistant City Manager Michael McDonald.
The dead grackles, sparrows and pigeons will be tested.
Some experts said the most likely cause of the die-off was a deliberate
poisoning. “It happens quite frequently,” said Greg Butcher, director
of bird conservation at the National Audubon Society in Washington.
Grackles are a crowlike bird regarded as a major pest in Texas, with
Austin sidewalks sometimes covered in their droppings.
The dead birds were found overnight along Congress Avenue, a major
downtown thoroughfare. Police closed the route through downtown and two
side streets, and a staging area was set up near the Capitol, with
dozens of fire trucks, police cars and ambulances.
Dr. Adolfo Valadez, medical director for the Austin and Travis County
Health and Human Services Division, said the birds will be tested for
signs of poison or viral infections. But officials do not believe bird
flu is involved.
It could be days or weeks before a cause is determined, he said.
Another mysterious case surfaced on Tuesday, January 9 in the West
Australian coastal town of Esperance. Several thousands of birds, of
many different species, mysteriously dropped dead out of the sky.
Investigations by scientists and veterinarians in the West Australian
capital of Perth have failed to discover the cause of the mass deaths.
The main casualties are wattle birds, yellow-throated miners, new
holland honeyeaters and singing honeyeaters, although some dead crows,
hawks and pigeons have also been found.
Wildlife officers, say The Australian, are baffled by the
'catastrophic' event, which the Department of Environment and
Conservation said began well before a freak storm last week.
On Monday, Esperance, 725 kilometres southeast of Perth, was declared a
natural disaster zone.
District nature conservation co-ordinator Mike Fitzgerald said the
first reports of birds dropping dead in people's yards came in three
weeks ago. More than 500 deaths had since been notified. But the calls
stopped suddenly last week, reportedly because no birds were left.
'It's very substantial. We estimate several thousand birds are dead,
although we don't have a clear number because of the large areas of
bushland,' Mr Fitzgerald said.
Birds Australia, the nation's main bird conservation group, said it had
not heard of a similar occurrence. 'Not on that scale, and all at the
same time, and also the fact that it's several different species,'
chief executive Graeme Hamilton said. 'You'd have to call that a most
unusual event and one that we'd all have to be concerned about.'
The state Department of Agriculture and Food, which conducted the
autopsies, has almost ruled out an infectious process.
Acting chief veterinary officer Fiona Sunderman said there were no
leads yet on which of potentially hundreds of toxins might be
responsible. Some birds were seen convulsing as they died.
Michelle Crisp was one of the first to contact the DEC after finding
dozens of dead birds on her property one morning.
She told The Australian she normally had hundreds of birds in her yard,
but that she and a neighbour counted 80 dead birds in one day.
'It went to the point where we had nothing, not a bird,' she said.
'It was like a moonscape, just horrible. But the frightening thing for
us, we didn't find any more birds after that. We literally didn't have
any birds left to die.'

THAT BIG KENNEL IN THE SKY DEPARTMENT -
People Who Believe in an
Afterlife Want One for Pets
If you think the Rainbow Bridge is an architectural structure near
Niagara Falls, you're probably not an animal lover.
A consummate tearjerker that is in perennial circulation on the
Internet, the Rainbow Bridge story describes a place "just this side of
heaven," where animals go when they die. In a pastoral scene wherein
the pit bull lies down with the Maine coon, they are returned to youth
and wholeness, and want for nothing. Well, maybe just one thing.
The story describes how the animals' good-natured play among the hills
and meadows is disrupted, as one of them suddenly stops and looks into
the distance. "His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster." No, it's not a dropped piece
of buttered bagel. It is the animal's special person toward whom the
pet lopes. Once their effusive greeting is over, they cross the Rainbow
Bridge together.
The story is invariably signed "Author Unknown," though some have
speculated that it owes a debt to Bifrost, the rainbow bridge of Norse
legend that warriors crossed to enter Valhalla. Earlier this year, a
Los Angeles-based reporter found that someone named Paul C. Dahm had
copyrighted the poem in the 1990s. Psychologist Wallace Sife of
Brooklyn, founder of the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement, says
the poem might be extrapolated from an essay he wrote 30 years ago.
While its origins are murky, the message of the Rainbow Bridge story is
clear: People who believe in an afterlife want one for their animals,
as well.
Unfortunately, the Judeo-Christian tradition doesn't hold out much hope
in that regard.
"The Catholic Church does not teach that animals have souls," says Rev.
Richard McBrien, professor of theology at the University of Notre Dame.
"However, if one broadens the definition of the soul to include some
level of intelligence and the capacity to give affection and to bond
with human beings, then to that extent that they do have souls."
But not in the same sense as humans, says Peter Steinfels, co-director
of the Fordham Center on Religion and Culture in Manhattan, also a
Catholic institution.
"Aside from a few interesting exceptions, I don't think there is a view
of an afterlife for animals" in Jewish theology, says Eliezer Segal, a
professor of religious studies at the University of Calgary in Canada.
One of those exceptions would be the Hasidic tradition, which believes
in reincarnation -- hence its exacting laws of animal slaughter, to
ensure that fellow souls are dispatched with care and precision.
Richard Foltz, an associate professor in the department of religion at
Concordia University in Montreal and author of "Animals in Islamic
Tradition and Muslim Cultures" (Oneworld Publications, $19.95), notes
that Islamic law forbids "all forms of animal cruelty" and mandates
that thirsty animals be given water before humans. And certain Islamic
traditions hold that the prophet Muhammad had a particular affinity for
cats.
But on the spiritual plane, the odds are again stacked against animals.
"The classical Islamic intellectual tradition is that they do indeed
possess souls, although there is disagreement on whether these souls
are eternal or not," Foltz says
Easing the transition
Sending dearly departed animals off in style is hardly a modern idea:
Last year, researchers uncovered a 1,000-year-old pet cemetery near
Lima, Peru, where 43 mummified dogs had been buried with blankets and
treats alongside their pre-Incan owners. Here are some of the ways
today's animal caretakers can deal with their companions' shuffling off
the mortal coil:
Pet funerals. Though not nearly as commonplace as the human variety,
pet funeral homes offer everything from pre-need planning to viewings
and visitations. If you prefer a resting place in cyberspace, virtual
pet cemeteries dot the Web, from virtual petcemetery.org to
in-memory-of-pets.com to rainbowbridge.com.
Urns and memorials. That benign metal canister on the mantel is no
longer your only choice for a cremated animal's ashes. There are
sponge-painted stoneware and fake granite urns (lucythewonderdog .com),
cremation pendants shaped like bones or balls of yarn
(allaboutpeturns.com), even elaborate artists' creations that look like
bowling balls gone wild (custompeturns.com).
Pet preservation. Forget about traditional taxidermy. Instead,
companies such as Mansfield's Pet Preservation Specialist
(petpreservations.com) can freeze-dry your companion in any desired
position (a sleeping pose is most popular). The process takes about
four months; a good-size German shepherd costs about $1,500 to
mannequinize.
DNA banking. Cat cloning has long been ho-hum (not to mention
expensive: the now-defunct Genetic Savings & Clone charged $50,000
a pop for its copy cats). And scientists in Korea recently announced
they had cloned several Afghan hounds (which look better in pairs
anyway). You can bank your kitty or doggie or hamster DNA in liquid
nitrogen at a facility such as a Viagen (viagen.com), but just
remember: Variations in environment can produce genetically identical
animals that behave very differently -- and sometimes even look
different -- from their prototypes.
Bereavement groups. For many animal lovers, losing a pet is just part
of the anguish. The dismissiveness of friends and family who remind
that it's "just a cat" is often just as hard to bear. Support groups
for grieving owners exist nationwide. Visit pet-loss.net for more
information.
