Out Of The Darkness: UFO Revelations And The Arrival Of The Mysterious Planet X

IS OUR PLANET IN GREAT JEOPARDY?

THE ANSWER MAY ARRIVE IN THE FORM ON AN UNKNOWN OBJECT HURTLING TOWARD US FROM THE DARKNESS OF SPACE

Doomsayers have long predicted the end of humankind and the demise of our planet itself, either over an extended period or possibly in the twinkling of an eye. Such predictions go back centuries and – of course – none of these End Times prophecies have come true. It’s gotten to the point where such foreshadowings are being disdainfully ignored, and rightly so. Literally hundreds of books were written about the end-all date of December 21, 2012, and the arrival of the mysterious Planet X – a date that came and went uneventfully and without a ripple in the cosmic fiber. Earth is still here and many an embarrassed author has had to eat crow.

But are we out of the woods? Is Planet X or some other unknown body rushing out of the darkness, capable of blindsiding us without any advance warning? If so, what is the nature of such an unprovoked “attack” and when is it likely to occur?

PSYCHICS AND UFO PROPHETS OFFER SHOCKING REVELATIONS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF HUMANKIND

Here are literally dozens of predictions regarding the future destiny of Earth …The possible mass landing of spaceships from other worlds and other dimensions. The possibility of an evacuation in the “nick of time.” Situated in various countries around the world are highly sensitive earthlings who are able to “tune in” to the wavelengths of these alien beings and actually act as sort of a “radio receiver” in picking up messages that are being “beamed” from beyond our atmosphere. The predictions of such “channelers” are uncannily similar.

If trials and tribulations lay just ahead, how can they be minimized? Is it possible that at least some of us may avoid such disastrous consequence as continents sink beneath the oceans and volcanic eruptions pollute the air? Though there may be a form of universal judgment day coming, our cosmic counselors have provided us with methods to negotiate the situation so that a minimum of us are impacted.

ARE WE ABOUT TO ENTER A NEW DAWN OF COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS?

Coming of Age in the Secret Space Race
By Olav Philips

UFO's are one of those things; those things people always latch onto.  They are prolific in science fiction and once people learn of my interest, always a topic of conversations at parties.  I saw a light in the sky, or this funky triangle flew over my head.  My life is bereft with these statements, but in the annals of conspiracy research UFOs are also a high debated topic.

Like many I started out as a firm believer in the alien hypothesis, meaning that I believed all those triangles and funky lights in the sky were alien in origin, but what if they weren't?  It's a question, which has vexed me for the last decade because in time I started to believe, at least a percentage might not be.  Now in some circles that is a heretical statement, but a statement I believe to be true never the less.

For me it started many years ago in my journey.  I had been gifted a 10th generation VHS copy of the long sought after "Science Report: Alternative Three." Back then it was a kitschy 1970's era conspiracy mockumentry shown on East Anglia TV back in 1977.  But as time went on and I started to really watch it something dawned on me, maybe it was fundamentally true?  Maybe some, but not all, UFO's were not alien in origin but instead man made.  But for what purpose, and that was the question, which launched the decent into, where I find myself now.

Space is a funny thing, they call it the high frontier and like many I had dreams of space shuttles going to the moon eagerly anticipating taking my seat on a Pan-Am shuttle to a space station and scooting across the surface much as Haywood Floyd did in Kubrick's amazing, and conspiratorially controversial, 2001: A Space Odyssey. A say conspiratorially because that film like so many has played a part in this new secret space age.

So what is knocking around in the high frontier, and what does it have to do with movies or the enigmatic Alternative Three?

Sometime in the late 1990's rumors started to emerge of a secret program, utilizing high technology to conquer space and possibly other planets.  A secret space force, replete with high tech vehicles regularly leaving the planet for parts unknown.  It was the age of the SERPO question, the idea that military personnel were being assigned to an exchange program with aliens and while the fascination of SERPO died away, rumors emerged that it might have been a hoax.  The hoax labeled killed investigation into SERPO, but what if SERPO might actually have been real?

Then in 2002 a lowly systems administrator from Scotland, utilizing only a 56k modem cracked the question wide open.  His name was Gary McKinnon and what he found was so amazing that it caused the full wait of the United States government to come after him.

McKinnon was accused, and did, hack into a series military and NASA computers but it wasn't the hacking that makes his story interesting.  Its what he found.  McKinnon claims to have found references to a program called Solar Warden, which was nothing less then a secret space fleet darting around the space above us and more he claims to have found manifests and crew transfer notices for a series of ships and installations which don't exist here on Earth.

Solar Warden had entered our psyche and popular culture.  Researchers rushed out to discover more about Solar Warden and discovered that a program under SDI had existed called Solar Warden.   In fact an enterprising journalist from the Huffington Post filed a freedom of information act request and received a very interesting response.

Darren Perks in a blog posting from 12/7/12 stated:

"About an hour ago I spoke to a NASA rep who confirmed this was their program and that it was terminated by the President. He also informed me that it was not a joint program with the DoD. The NASA rep informed me that you should be directed to the Johnson Space Center FOIA Manager.

I have ran your request through one of our space-related directorates and I'm waiting on one other division with the Command to respond back to me. I will contact you once I have a response from the other division. Did NASA refer you to us?"

It produce an interesting response, and proof of an actual program.

Around the same time near Thousand Oakes California a pilot reported seeing a strange object in the sky overhead.  His report was that this odd craft was proceeding at 5000ft at around 200mph heading S/SE which would have placed it on a approach flight path to Edwards Air Force Base, the home to many an odd aircraft.  But this aircraft was very large, and very slow.

Merely a month later the same object was seen over the San Francisco Bay Area, again flying S/SE, but only this time at around 70,000ft and flying at an 45 degree angle down.  It was a very serendipitous set of sightings, which started to form a construct for what McKinnon had claimed to have seen, and it only took 10 years for the pieces to come together.

One of the things McKinnon had claimed to have seen on his journey to the classified unknown was a specification for a ship which could carry more then 300 people, a troop transport if you will and possibly the troop transport sized object witnessed by these individuals. But that also had another link to Alternative Three and its notion of "Batch Consignments," but we'll get to that in a minute.

Solar Warden, secret space fleet, bases on the Moon/Mars sounds a little nutty right?  Maybe not s crazy as you think and maybe more real then you know.

For many years, and originally on STS-88 in 1989 a strange object has been seen in low Earth orbit.  Originally it was claimed, and still is for that matter, that this object was the elusive "Black Knight," and alien space probe which has been producing Long Delay Echoes for the last 70 years.   The Black Knight was also implicated in the research of Duncan Lunan who claimed in the 1970's that he had cracked the code of the object, a brace well probe, which he believed had come from Epsilion Booties and was here to do research on us earthlings.

The problem is that this mysterious vessel, photographed numerous times, is not a bracewell style probe, and the Black Knight is known to haunt L2 (Lagrange Point 2) out past low earth orbit towards the moon which gives it a wonderful location for monitoring the earth and its friendly inhabitants.

But its Solar Warden's use of high technology extends the conversation and takes  yet another technological detour.  Because it could be argued the genesis of Solar Warden's high technology originated in a series of ultra secret Nazi programs operated out of a facility known as "Der Riese" ("The Giant") located at the Skoda Munitions facility in occupied Czechoslovakia. If the research of pioneers such as Joseph Farrell and Henry Stevens are to believe, one of the most significant leaps ever made was made at Der Riese, by the Germans, in the 1940's.

It was at Der Riese under the leadership of a SS general named Hans Kammler, who incidentally at a PhD in Engineering and had taken control of Nordhausen and Peenemunde,  the Nazi's had a breakthrough  during the experimentation with a device called "The Bell." The Bell, or Der Glocke as it is sometimes known was a bell shaped device which was powered by Xerum 525 and have antigravity characteristics.  It is important to not that a scant a mere 21 years after the bell disappeared an object of similar shape and size crashed into a forest near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania.

Since this is about a conspiracy, it is also interesting to note that Kammler died approximately five times under different circumstances, but in reality it is believed that he took the bell and most of its scientists, he killed the technicians, to Base 211 which is so covertly hidden below the ice in Antarctica and he did this aboard several massive Junkers transport aircraft called the JU-390.

The JU-390 with a cargo capacity in excess of 30,000lbs and a listed range of over 6000 miles would have been the right aircraft for the job and probably could have made it to Base 211 with a strategic refueling  somewhere in Africa.

Based on the capabilities of the Bell propulsion system the story goes the German scientists and flight engineers setup to contract a series of circular airframes which they called "The Haunebu."  According to the literature there were several variants of the Haunebu and there have even been pilots over the years who have come forward claiming to be former test pilots for the aircraft.  There is even a line of thinking which proposed  the it was not an alien craft which crashed at Roswell but instead was a crashed German shaped UFO.

Additional proof has been uncovered including a rather odd compass labeled "KT-P2" or the "Kreisel Teller" gyro plate which served as a celestially calibrated slave compass that would have impervious to the magnetic field distortion caused by the operation of the Bell.

But perhaps the most interesting proof to surface in recent years about the Bell and Haunebu came on the night of May 30, 2011 when Clyde Lewis, of Ground Zero Radio fame, was interviewing former Skunkworks engineer T.D. Barnes about his work at Area 51.  During the interview Lewis asked Barnes pointedly about the Bell, and its final resting place.  Barnes of course, and as you would expect, responded that he wasn't sure what Lewis was talking about and was unfamiliar with the name.  Lewis pushed the issue and described the Bell and its operation to Barnes who responded that all that "German stuff" was sent to Wright Patterson AFB. Lewis, a little shocked at this point asked him again about the Bell to which Barnes responded something to the effect of "yes that thing" was sent to Wright Patterson AFB.

Again independent confirmation of the existence of a Bell like device, and this time in the hands of the United States Government along with a whole host of other German high technology. But the story doesn't end there, normally it might but in this rare case we also have the end game or end objective of such a program.

End games are one of those things, every program or project has one - it has to.  The ultimate objective and the source of its funding.  See everything is done for a reason, and even in DARPA funding is not just handed out, you need an objective for your project or the purse strings are close. It's also the most difficult thing to deduce since; at least in conspiracy research we have scant evidence and mostly secondary testimony.  I think in conspiracy research we are also dazzled by the means but often pay no attention to the end, but the end is the reason for the means. So the research becomes circular.

In this case I do think we have a glimpse at the end game, and it goes back around to that mysterious 1977 broadcast, because for some reason the powers that be seem to subversively announce the game plan.  I've never understood that, maybe it's to taunt us with glimpses of the larger agenda, but never the less we are given those glimpses.

Science Report: Alternative Three - what does that have to do with Solar Warden or Nazi UFOs you might ask?  In my simple estimation of the situation, Everything.

If we look critically at the plot of Alternative Three we see a world on the tipping point with climatic disaster, in the case of Alternative Three its wild climate changes which bring about an Ice Age but really it could be that or it could be something more ominus such as a asteroid threat. A theme echoed in Ronald Reagan's 1987 speech before the United Nations General Assembly.

"In our obsession with antagonisms of the moment, we often forget how much unites all the members of humanity. Perhaps we need some outside, universal threat to make us recognize this common bond. I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world"

Over the years that speech has widely been interpreted as a truly alien threat such as big green multieyed monsters from Venus coming to take over the earth.  This is especially true because of earlier comments he had made but what if, just for a minute, that alien threat was something else, and Reagan who was a shrewd politician obfuscated the true threat by cloaking it in UFO/Alien imagery.

To uncover this tangent of thinking we need to look at another quote, this time by famed physics superstar Neil deGrasse Tyson of the Hayden Planetarium and all around media superstar:

"On Friday the 13th, April 2029, an asteroid large enough to fill the Rose Bowl as though it were an egg cup will fly so close to Earth that it will dip below the altitude of our communication satellites. We did not name this asteroid Bambi. Instead, we named it Apophis, after the Egyptian god of darkness and death."

Names mean something and as Tyson points out here Apophis is named after the Egyptian god of death and darkness.  A coincidence?  Probably not and incidentally the aftermath of Apophis, which Tyson points out in a FORA.tv interview, would be the literal sandblasting of the entire western coast of the United States.

But it could be an oncoming ice age as well.  In a November 9th, 2012 article in The Register author Lewis Page discusses recent evidence that we are currently at the early stages of a coming ice age and this is the kicker, only CO2 can save us!  These ideas were echoed by the father of the hydrogen bomb, and all around destroyer of worlds, Dr. Edward Teller who during a 1958 meeting of the American Chemical Society proposed the dumping of large amounts of very fine aluminum and other chemicals into the upper atmosphere to trigger a greenhouse effect to heat the world.  Chemtrails anyone?

Ok, so back to Alternative Three, we have something bad coming.  Maybe its an asteroid, or a Ice Age both of which would be equally disastrous but really it doesn't matter.  In both cases bad things happen and out of that were born three options:

1)    The detonation of a high altitude nuclear device in the upper atmosphere to disrupt the world climate pattern. Most likely Project Argus which detonated nuclear devices at over 300 miles in altitude and was planned as well as executed in almost 1/3 of the time which was normally spent on such tests. In Alternative Three this was deemed a failure, and frankly I'm not surprised.  It's a pretty harebrained idea right along with Operation Plowshares using nuclear bombs to make radioactive contaminated deep harbors and water canals.

2)    To build underground bunkers, also deemed a failure since not enough of the population could be saved and frankly the surface would be pretty badly damaged in either scenario for quite some time.  Never the less underground bunker construction continues as well as troop movements, mass purchases by the Department of Homeland Security of food, ammunition, and body bags (we'd need a lot of those, so its good to hear they bought several million!).

3)    To leave and move somewhere else. Setup shop on the Moon and then colonize Mars. Apparently this program is underway which coincides with McKinnon's claimed uncovering of mass troop transports capable of carrying 300 or more people be they scientists or "Batch Consignment" slave labor. Richard Sauder and others have documented the bunker building program quite well and I would suggest investigating their work.  They make a seriously compelling argument that there is not only a massive underground network but even high-speed trains which run between the various facilities which dot the globe.

If Alternative Three is underway the establishment of a Solar Warden program in those deep special access programs is entirely feasible.   We would need a space fleet to move things around as well as to prevent nasty things such as asteroid strikes from occurring.  So in that way Solar Warden suddenly makes sense. Solar Warden coupled with Project Horizon's aims at a manned moon base really bring this idea of Alternative Three to the forefront and should be seriously considered.

But could we really do it?  Could we really have a Moon base or Mars base?  The answer is absolutely, and we need look no further then statements by Ben Rich, former head of the Lockheed Skunkworks, the same organization T.D. Barnes worked for.

"We now have the technology to take ET back home" - Ben Rich 1993 UCLA School of Engineering Alumni Speech.

That is really a pretty compelling quote in relation to the revelations of Gary McKinnon,  Alternative Three and Solar Warden,  especially when we consider the source.  Rich was a man who knew secrets, and worked his whole life and the penultimate secret state of Special Access Programs funded by the government and apparently designed to reach into space and to take E.T. home.

Is Alternative Three active?  Is Solar Warden real?  I think quite probably yes, and if that is the case and as the powers that be ramp up the program we will continue to see strange things in our skies and most likely if it is an oncoming ice age more aggressive chemtrail activity.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating for chemtrails, but on the flip side no one has ever figured out the end game of chemtrails.  Most researchers would just chalk it up to a secret government program which was bad, but there is always a reason especially for GeoEngineering.

As humans everything we do has a reason and now we just need to confirm what that reason is. But it is that search for the endgame that is the hallmark of coming of age in the secret space race. When we find that answer we will have graduated and as humans we will be in the full possession of the facts, the only problem is that graduation may come a little late this time.

The Ancient Secrets of Levitation
By Stephen Wagner

DID ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS possess knowledge that has since been lost to science? Were amazing technologies available to the ancient Egyptians that enabled them to construct the pyramids -- technologies that have somehow been forgotten?

The ruins of several ancient civilizations -- from Stonehenge to the pyramids -- show that they used massive stones to construct their monuments. A basic question is why? Why use stone pieces of such enormous size and weight when the same structures could have been constructed with more easily managed smaller blocks -- much like we use bricks and cinderblocks today?

Could part of the answer be that these ancients had a method of lifting and moving these massive stones -- some weighing several tons -- that made the task as easy and manageable as lifting a two-pound brick? The ancients, some researchers suggest, may have mastered the art of levitation, through sonics or some other obscure method, that allowed them to defy gravity and manipulate massive objects with ease.

THE EGYPTIAN PYRAMIDS

How the great pyramids of Egypt were built has been the subject of debate for millennia. The fact is, no one really knows for certain exactly how they were constructed. The current estimates of mainstream science contends that it took a workforce of 4,000 to 5,000 men 20 years to build the Great Pyramid using ropes, pulleys, ramps, ingenuity and brute force.

And that very well may have been the case. But there is an intriguing passage in a history text by the 10th century Arab historian, Abul Hasan Ali Al-Masudi, known as the Herodotus of the Arabs. Al-Masudi had traveled much of the known world in his day before settling in Egypt, and he had written a 30-volume history of the world. He too was struck by the magnificence of the Egyptian pyramids and wrote about how their great stone blocks were transported.

First, he said, a "magic papyrus" (paper) was placed under the stone to be moved. Then the stone was struck with a metal rod that caused the stone to levitate and move along a path paved with stones and fenced on either side by metal poles. The stone would travel along the path, wrote Al-Masudi, for a distance of about 50 meters and then settle to the ground. The process would then be repeated until the builders had the stone where they wanted it.

Considering that the pyramids were already thousands of years old when Al-Masudi wrote this explanation, we have to wonder where he got his information. Was it part of an oral history that was passed down from generation to generation in Egypt? The unusual details of the story raise that possibility. Or was this just a fanciful story concocted by a talented writer who -- like many who marvel at the pyramids today -- concluded that there must have been some extraordinary magical forces employed to build such a magnificent structure?

If we take the story at face value, what kind of levitation forces were involved? Did the striking of the rock create vibrations that resulted in sonic levitation? Or did the layout of stones and rods create a magnetic levitation? If so, the science accounting for either scenario is unknown to us today.

OTHER ASTONISHING MEGALITHS

The Egyptian pyramids are not the only ancient structures constructed of huge blocks of stone. Far from it. Great temples and monuments around the world contain stone components of incredible size, yet little is known about their means of construction.

The Temple of Jupiter at Baalbek, Lebanon has a foundation that contains the three largest stone blocks ever used in a man-made structure. Each block is estimated to weigh as much as 1,000 tons! No super crane in existence today could lift one, yet they are positioned together with such precision that not even a needle could fit between them. Nearby is an even bigger stone. Known as Hajar el Hibla -- the Stone of the Pregnant Woman -- it lies abandoned in its quarry, never used. But the giant rectangular block is the largest piece of stone ever cut by humans, weighing an incredible 1,200 tons. It is estimated that it would require the strength of 16,000 men to even budge it, and represents a formidable challenge to 20th century machines and technology.

On an isolated plateau at Tiahuanaco, Bolivia, 13,000 feet above sea level, stands an impressive monument called Puerta del Sol, or Sun Gate. The elaborately carved gate weighs an estimated 10 tons, and how it arrived at its present location is a mystery.

Nan Madol, sometimes called "the Machu Pichu of the Pacific," is a great ruins on the island of Pohnpei, capital of the Federated States of Micronesia. This lost city, constructed around 200 B.C., is made up of hundreds of stacked stone logs, each about 18-feet-long and several feet in diameter. The logs, stacked like cordwood, constitute walls that are 40 feet high and 18 feet thick. Each stone log is estimated to weigh about 2.5 tons. How they were moved and lifted into position is unknown.

What was the secret these diverse and ancient cultures possessed to manipulate these great stone blocks? A massive supply of slave labor straining human muscle and ingenuity to their limits? Or was there another more mysterious way? It's remarkable that these cultures leave no record of how these structures were constructed. However, "in almost every culture where megaliths exist," according to 432:Cosmic Key, "a legend also exists that the huge stones were moved by acoustic means -- either by the chanted spells of magicians, by song, by striking with a magic wand or rod (to produce acoustic resonance), or by trumpets, gongs, lyres, cymbals or whistles."

TIBETAN SECRETS OF LEVITATION

In his book The Bridge to Infinity, Bruce Cathie recounts an amazing story that he says originated in a German magazine. It tells the story of astonishing feats of levitation accomplished by priests in a monastery high in the Tibetan Himalayas. Here, in English translation, are excepts from that German article:

A Swedish doctor, Dr. Jarl... studied at Oxford. During those times he became friends with a young Tibetan student. A couple of years later, it was 1939, Dr. Jarl made a journey to Egypt for the English Scientific Society. There he was seen by a messenger of his Tibetan friend, and urgently requested to come to Tibet to treat a high Lama. After Dr. Jarl got the leave he followed the messenger and arrived after a long journey by plane and Yak caravans, at the monastery, where the old Lama and his friend who was now holding a high position were now living.

One day his friend took him to a place in the neighborhood of the monastery and showed him a sloping meadow which was surrounded in the north west by high cliffs. In one of the rock walls, at a height of about 250 metres was a big hole which looked like the entrance to a cave. In front of this hole there was a platform on which the monks were building a rock wall. The only access to this platform was from the top of the cliff and the monks lowered themselves down with the help of ropes.

In the middle of the meadow. about 250 metres from the cliff, was a polished slab of rock with a bowl like cavity in the center. The bowl had a diameter of one metre and a depth of 15 centimeters. A block of stone was maneuvered into this cavity by Yak oxen. The block was one metre wide and one and one-half metres long. Then 19 musical instruments were set in an arc of 90 degrees at a distance of 63 metres from the stone slab. The radius of 63 metres was measured out accurately. The musical instruments consisted of 13 drums and six trumpets. (Ragdons).

Behind each instrument was a row of monks. When the stone was in position the monk behind the small drum gave a signal to start the concert. The small drum had a very sharp sound, and could be heard even with the other instruments making a terrible din. All the monks were singing and chanting a prayer, slowly increasing the tempo of this unbelievable noise. During the first four minutes nothing happened, then as the speed of the drumming, and the noise increased, the big stone block started to rock and sway, and suddenly it took off into the air with an increasing speed in the direction of the platform in front of the cave hole 250 metres high. After three minutes of ascent it landed on the platform.

Continuously they brought new blocks to the meadow, and the monks using this method, transported 5 to 6 blocks per hour on a parabolic flight track approximately 500 metres long and 250 metres high. From time to time a stone split, and the monks moved the split stones away. Quite an unbelievable task. Dr Jarl knew about the hurling of the stones. Tibetan experts like Linaver, Spalding and Huc had spoken about it, but they had never seen it. So Dr Jarl was the first foreigner who had the opportunity to see this remarkable spectacle. Because he had the opinion in the beginning that he was the victim of mass-psychosis he made two films of the incident. The films showed exactly the same things that he had witnessed.

The English Society for which Dr Jarl was working confiscated the two films and declared them classified. They will not be released until 1990.

Were the films of this fascinating feat released in 1990? Did they ever even exist? Or is this just another tall tale that lends more mystery to the land of Shangri-la?

CORAL CASTLE

How unfortunate that these secrets of levitation - if they ever existed - are lost to antiquity or the remoteness of the Himalayas. They seem to be forever elusive to modern Western man. Or are they?

Beginning in 1920, Edward Leedskalnin, a 5-ft. tall, 100-lb. Latvian immigrant, began to build a remarkable structure in Homestead, Florida. Over a 20-year period, Leedskalnin single-handedly build a home he originally called "Rock Gate Park," but has since been named Coral Castle. Working in secret - often at night - Leedskalnin was somehow able to quarry, fashion, transport and constructed the impressive edifices and sculptures of his unique home from large blocks of heavy coral rock.

It's estimated that 1,000 tons of coral rock were used in construction of the walls and towers, and an additional 100 tons of it were carved into furniture and art objects:

An obelisk he raised weighs 28 tons.
The wall surrounding Coral Castle stands 8 ft. tall and consists of large blocks each weighing several tons.
Large stone crescents are perched atop 20-ft.-high walls.
A 9-ton swinging gate that moves at the touch of a finger guards the eastern wall.
The largest rock on the property weighs an estimated 35 tons.
Some stones are twice the weight of the largest blocks in the Great Pyramid at Giza.

All this he did alone and without heavy machinery. No one was ever witness to how Leedskalnin was able to move and lift such enormous objects, although it is claimed that some spying teenagers saw him "float coral blocks through the air like hydrogen balloons."

Leedskalnin was highly secretive about his methods, saying only at one point, "I have discovered the secrets of the pyramids. I have found out how the Egyptians and the ancient builders in Peru, Yucatan and Asia, with only primitive tools, raised and set in place blocks of stone weighing many tons."

If Leedskalnin had indeed rediscovered the ancient secrets of levitation, he took them with him to his grave.

Traveling the Paranormal Corridors of the World
By Sean Casteel

Although we may seldom give it much thought, there exists a world outside our perhaps limited, claustrophobic perspective on just what truly matters in the study of UFOs and other paranormal subjects. While there has admittedly always been a small core group of UFOlogists and students of the strange who have ventured beyond the borders of their libraries and television-centered environments and actually traveled to exotic locations around the world to visit various monuments or mingle with indigenous peoples and seek the truths to be found among them, most of us are forced by circumstances to only dream of such forays into other realities.

Given that we are such “armchair tourists” when exploring the weirder parts of the world, we can certainly be consoled by, even irresistibly drawn into, some of the books on these places published by Timothy Green Beckley at Global Communications. The books written along those lines that are available from the venerable publisher – and Amazon.com – include titles like “Lost Worlds and Underground Mysteries of the Far East,” “Secret of the Andes and the Golden Sun Disc of MU,” “The Magic and Mysteries of Mexico,” and “An Occult Guide to South America.”

MYSTERIOUS INDIA AND ITS FASCINATING HOLY MEN

Let’s ramp up with “Lost World and Underground Mysteries of the Far East,” written by M. Paul Dare and first published in the 1930s. The book’s cover enticingly promises to teach us about the “Forbidden Magic and Superstitions of Ancient Societies,” and it does so in the kind of elegant writing style that is rarely found in present day tomes on similar themes.

As Beckley points out in his introduction to the reprint, we are all at least distantly familiar with the legends of Indian holy men who can levitate themselves, as well as household objects, after a quick nap on a bed of nails. Beckley writes of developing a fascination with such stories when he was a child and has fond memories of collecting literature on the subject by perusing the ads found in the back pages of his favorite comic books. Beckley says he was also influenced by his friend, the late John Keel, who traveled throughout the Far East in search of the world’s greatest mysteries, including the quest for the truth about the Abominable Snowman and the legitimacy of the Indian rope trick.

Beckley then tells the reader about discovering a first edition of Dare’s book in the basement of a used bookstore and how he instantly recognized that it was worthy of being reprinted. At the time the book was written, Dare was the News Editor of “The Times of India,” a prestigious daily newspaper in its heyday.

In the opening paragraph of chapter one, Dare begins by asking, “Where do genuine magical power end and the realm of frankly theatrical conjuring begin? This is perhaps the biggest mystery of all to be solved in probing the magical performances of ‘the mysterious East,’ and any consideration of it must inevitably involve a discussion of that perennial source of controversy, the Indian rope trick; and the author of any book on Far Eastern mysteries and beliefs feels that he owes it to his readers to start them off with this subject, since the first question always flung at anyone rash enough to admit having lived in India is: Did you see the rope trick? Can it be done?”

Dare goes on to summarize what the Indian rope trick is usually said to consist of.

“Briefly,” he writes, “the conjuror throws into the air a thin rope, or stout twine, which defies the laws of gravity by staying stiff and upright, its top vanishing out of sight in the open sky. The assistant, a boy aged about twelve, shinnies up the rope and likewise disappears. He refuses to come down, despite repeated commands, so the magician, a knife between his teeth, goes up after him, and then bits of dismembered boy fall to the ground amid piercing shrieks; after which, the conjuror descends to earth, cleans his hands and the knife, and the boy appears, whole and undamaged, from among the crowd. There are variations, but that is the essence of it.”

According to Dare, in the 1930s, the period in which he writes, the truth or falsehood of the Indian rope trick was a raging controversy that garnered lots of space in the news media of the period. Many so-called “experts” claimed that they could prove the feat was a total deception, and a society of magicians in England offered thousands of rupees to any conjurer who could demonstrate, in an unchallengeable way, that the trick was real. There were never any takers for that offer or many similar ones because, Dare is quick to point out, genuine Indian holy men abhorred money and would never accept payment of any kind for what they did. Also, the tiny percentage of such holy men who could actually read English never read the English newspapers anyway.

After presenting both sides of the argument about the Indian rope trick, Dare candidly discusses the fact that he had never seen the trick himself. While he admits that it is an unfortunate fact for an researcher of this kind, he had only heard second and third accounts about the trick from other people.

“The nearest ‘contact,’” he writes, “was a wandering Austrian artist who told me his brother had seen the trick and taken a photograph, in which neither rope nor boy appeared on the plate, though the juggler and the crowd came out clearly. This, one often hears, is the mystifying experience of other people who have tried to photograph it.”

Dare’s book also includes chapters called “Crime and Sorcery,” “Human Sacrifice,” and “Mysteries of the Serpent,” among others, that delve into these arcane subjects with the objectivity of a seasoned newspaper reporter who also happens to have a deep interest in occultism, thus making him the kind of authority worth reading. For such a person, India in the 1930s was obviously a wonderland of paranormal folklore and genuine mystery.

THE MYSTERIOUS SUN DISC OF THE ANDES

Another example of someone not content to be an armchair explorer is Brother Philip – a pseudonym for bestselling New Age author George Hunt Williamson, the name by which he is better known – one of the most famous of the early contactees. Brother Philip traveled to South America, specifically the Andes Mountains, looking for what Beckley calls, in his introduction to Brother’s Philips’ book “Secret of the Andes and the Golden Sun Disc of MU,” a “mystical kingdom few outsiders know about.”

Early in the book, Brother Philip explains the Golden Sun Disc in some detail. The Sun Disc’s original home was MU, which we are told was the portion of Lemuria that remained after the great Pacific continent sank into the ocean. It is of course an over simplification to say so, but Lemuria was the Pacific Ocean’s equivalent to Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Sun Disc was many things. It was on one level an object of adoration and served as a symbolic representation of the Great Central, or Cosmic Sun, which, in turn, symbolizes the Creator. But it was also a scientific instrument whose power came originally out of the dim past in the time of the “Elder Race.” As a scientific instrument, it was used in connection with a complex series of mirrors of pure gold, reflectors and lenses to produce healing in the bodies of those who were inside the Temple of Light.

“Besides all these functions,” Brother Philip writes, “the Sun Disc was a focal point for concentration of a dimensional quality. When the Disc was struck by a priest-scientist, who understood its operation, it would set certain vibratory conditions which could even bring about great earthquakes and, if continued long enough, might bring about a change in the rotation of the Earth itself. When attuned to a person’s particular frequency pattern, it could transport this person where he wished to go merely by a mental picture he created. It was, therefore, an object of transportation.”

Around 10-1200 B.C., MU itself was destroyed and the Disc was taken to Lake Titicaca in Peru and placed in a subterranean temple at the monastery of a group called the Brotherhood of the Seven Rays. The Incas, who came along later in the story, knew of the Disc’s existence and searched for it to no avail. However, when the Incas had proven themselves worthy by demonstrating that they would use the Disc unselfishly and to the benefit of ALL of their people, it was presented to them by the leader of the Brotherhood of the Seven Rays for the Incas’ daily use in their Temple of the Sun at Cuzco. The Disc was placed in a shrine that had been prepared for it, and it was secured with golden ropes, as it had been in ancient Lemuria.

“Even today,” Brother Philip writes, “the holes through which these ropes passed can be seen at the Convent of Santo Domingo in Cuzco, which is built on top of the Pre-Inca and Inca Sun Temple.”

This is the briefest of thumbnail sketches of what Brother Philip is writing about in the early parts of “Secret of the Andes and the Golden Sun Disc of MU.” He also discusses the mysticism that made up the various groups’ beliefs in some detail and explains how the search for these various artifacts was in some ways a holy quest, one that could benefit present day mankind immensely. He had made a longtime study of North and South American mythology and was adept in the fields of anthropology and archeology, which was initially motivated by his curiosity about the UFO phenomenon and his own place within it as a contactee.

In a biographical section of the book, an unnamed writer declares that Brother Philip (again, also known as George Hunt Williamson, who was one of the seven original witnesses to the legendary contact made between George Adamski and a blond Venusian in a California desert) finally “met” the UFO consciousness he had been searching for while on an expedition to South America. Once his lifelong questions were answered there, he ceased in his UFO research and disappeared from public view in the early 1960s, though he continued to quietly investigate other earth mysteries and to follow what he felt was the true Christian way, the Gnostic tradition.

Extraterrestrials Sans UFOs
By Thomas N. Hackney

The nearly seventy year mystery of UFOs has still not been solved or revealed in any satisfactory sense. That  UFO/ET experiencers both inside and outside the national security state, the former being whistleblowers, have not produced a solution to this most aggravating and persistent of daily phenomena weighs hard on reason.  How is such a thing possible? Is it because they, the aliens, are so far advanced over us that they don't have to worry about the sentient apes penetrating their systems?  Is it because intelligence agencies throughout the world are supremely competent at keeping secrets?  Or is it possibly because the aliens that really matter are so far ahead of human notions of auto-transportation that they don't even use UFOs?

Although we can't seem to fathom how ET might establish a presence in our solar system without UFOs, recent thinking has considered the possibility in terms of inter-dimensional travel, various quantum and string-theory-based possibilities.  It should not surprise us if beings a billion years more advanced than us transport themselves in some way other than auto-propelled carriages.

But can a non-UFO ET theory be seen as anything but sacrilege?  It shouldn't, really. Reports that alien spacecraft reside in secret hangars are anything but confirmed.  The people who have reported seeing them at Area 51 might easily be duped into thinking they saw crashed saucers when all they really saw were models.   What's more, the art and science of film special effects (Fx) is certainly nothing less than amazing these days.

"National Security" is a convenient catch-all excuse to black-box the whole subject, and use it for propaganda purposes. Governments have proven their capacity to be nothing less than nefarious when it comes to disseminating disinformation, and one should certainly expect the subject of UFOs to be exploited to help promote one agenda or another.

One question is, why would advanced aliens need to collude with generals and the like? Is there anything they could possibly want that they couldn't take or find elsewhere?  If these unknown generals or property owners (Area 51 seems not to belong to the US government) have dead aliens staked out or embalmed, would this endear them to aliens sufficiently to cause aliens to collude with them?  The idea that elite cabals are able to compel aliens to do anything seems incredible on its face.

Another question is why wouldn't the aliens have thought about the inevitable contingency that someday one of their ships would crash on our planet, allowing some of their most valuable secrets to be acquired by primitive and opportunistic aliens (humans)?  Why wouldn't they have taken measures to preclude any such capture or exploitation of their technology and genotype?  A simple auto-destruct mechanism would do the trick.  The idea that advanced aliens would overlook this makes no sense.

That UFOs are real is not the issue because numerous cases have been satisfactorily confirmed as being of a non-alien type.  This includes secret experimental military aircraft, weather balloons, holograms, inversion layers, conventional aircraft (e.g. when under certain atmospheric conditions the wings of a jet appear to disappear), hallucinations (e.g. from an acid trip), hoaxes, and, most recently, drones, to name a few.  These are not alien in origin, yet many in the UFO field insist that all this comprises but a substantial percentage of the cases, not all cases. If it is true that some small percentage of unexplainable cases are alien space/air craft, then we are back to the aliens-are-just-too-advanced-for-us theory.  Such a theory makes sense inasmuch as they have at least proven themselves eminently spaceworthy, where we humans have not.

So what does a non-UFO alien theory look like?  For one thing, the aliens will probably not resemble humans, reptiles or any other Earth inhabitant.  For another thing, they will probably be well beyond transporting themselves in space carriages or other faulty contraptions. Having survived and even flourished over a long period of time, they will probably have transcended the will-to-power-for-its-own-sake thing that seems to obsess and plague humankind.  If their intentions were malevolent they would have almost certainly taken our planet for themselves by now, men with spears or even stars on their shoulders notwithstanding.  So we are left with benevolent entities that just happen to be even more advanced over us than Chris Columbus and the Conquistadors were over the indigenous natives found in the new world.  But give such an advantage to humans and they'll exploit it to the hilt every time.

Because extra-terrestrials are, in hindsight, essentially benevolent toward us, followers of Nietzche, Darwin ("survival of the fittest") and Machiavelli would no doubt find such kindly restraint more than a little perplexing.  Perhaps this is just a human thing, a thing that puts the ape-like creature a crawl, a few steps, and a roll from the primordial swamp.  We should at least be careful not to automatically transfer human traits onto extra-terrestrials, especially if we consider what could be the "extra" in extra-terrestrial.

How would aliens express themselves to humans? Would they express themselves to us at all, any more than we would attempt to express ourselves to ants in an anthill?  The answer, it turns out, is not terribly hard to find, because the facts strongly suggest that they have expressed, even revealed, themselves to us.

Take 21 comets crashing into Jupiter, for example. This happened in July 1994 and could count as the kind of thing aliens might pull off to augur and celebrate the ape-man's 21st century.  Yet who in the world thought it odd that the number of comet fragments just happened to be twenty-one? Almost no one.  Comets have been thought for millenia by human societies to be messages from the gods, harbingers of great change and  disasters to come.  The notion is very much a human thing, after all.

That advanced aliens might use their overarching technology to interface with our world in this manner is consistent with what we know about aliens.  They do seem to maintain a hands-off approach where humans are concerned. That is, direct contact with our species has so far been a no-no, but this does not preclude indirect contact being made (alas!).

The great comet crash of 1994 was certainly hard to miss, and the event won't be going away anytime soon. There's hardly anything in the world scientists enjoy more than to watch really really big explosions. The 21 impacts of Jupiter were the most energetic events of any kind ever seen in this solar system.  Period.  They were documented, filmed, photographed, and studied nine ways to Sunday by the world's astronomical community. Scientists were bouncing off the walls for six days while fragments A through W (I and O were not used) pummeled the gas giant from July 16 to 22. According to one estimate, fragment "G" alone released about 600 times the energy of all the nuclear bombs on Earth!

Maybe the alien message to astronomers was that they should begin to study asteroids and their impacts.  This bio-galactic reality was pretty much laughed off by science before 1994 as something that happened millions of years ago but no longer.  It would be a damn shame if such a promising but planet-bound species should go extinct from something so simple and stupid as the impact of some comet or asteroid, without that species having had much of a clue about this particular danger.

Shoemaker-Levy 9 sure woke scientists up to the reality in a hurry, so much so that they only then began to study asteroids. So there was extraterrestrial communication and a human response to it, after all. In spite of NASA's denial that the 21 comets could have been a message to them from aliens, "the message" got through loud and clear, anyway.

Project NEAR, the Near Earth Asteroid Rendezvous, launched from Cape Canaveral just three years after Shoemaker-Levy 9 was discovered.  After a four year journey that included fly-bys of Earth (Jan. 1998) and asteroids Mathilde (June 1997) and Eros (December 1998), NEAR began orbiting the 21-mile-long asteroid Eros on Feb. 14, 2000. Maybe this was exactly what the designers of SL-9 had in mind when they fashioned the so-called "string of pearls."

Comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 and its aftermath may not be the only interworld interface that has taken place.  2013 saw two record-breaking asteroid events occur on the same day,  February 15.  The tip off here was that the two asteroids were completely unrelated, astronomically. The European Space Agency, among others, confirmed as much.  The two asteroids, one 45-60 in diameter, the other 150 feet in diameter, just happened, the same day, that's all.  What a "coincidence!"

The smaller asteroid exploded in the air over Russia causing perhaps one billion rubles worth of window damage and about 1,100 facial cuts of Russians standing anywhere near the shattering windows. Of the 1,158 people who applied for medical assistance, 52 were hospitalized, including 13 children. If the asteroid/bolide had held together for a few more seconds and thus exploded lower in the atmosphere it would have killed a million Russians.  Although it was damn close, nobody died.  Talk about precision!

The larger asteroid, called 2012 DA14, passed underneath Earth orbiting satellites to become the largest space rock that astronomers have ever known about in advance.  As the name implies, asteroid 2012 DA14 was spotted in 2012, and was fully expected to pass by the Earth when it did; the smaller Chelyabinsk asteroid was a complete surprise, however, as it woke up the entire Ural Mountain region with a super-loud and bright flash-bang.

The fact that the two "unrelated" record-breaking asteroids should exert pressure on our world barely 16 hours apart could be coincidence, of course; so could the appearance and impact of "21" (not 1, not 4, or 12 or 18) comets. On the other hand, they could be the only way ethical extraterrestrials allow themselves to communicate with our world.  The technique certainly doesn't give away anything of strategic value, such as where they come from, where their "posts" are located, or how they are able to maintain their embargo and presence here without our detecting them.

But there are other excellent benefits to such an approach: they get to "control the vertical and the horizontal", so to speak. SETI scientists, and therefore governments, would necessarily disavow any notion of asteroids being signals from ET.  The notion is in no way "scientific", after all.  Besides, the pan-cultural belief in comets and fiery rocks in the sky as "messages from the gods" comes to us from that soft academic area called history, and therefore can't possibly matter.

What's more, the world was not substantively changed by the events.  Aside from opening up the issue of large impacts, and except for some footnotes in future history and astronomy books, there was no interference in human history or worldviews, no DEFCON alerts, no panic in the streets, no possibility of government censure and propaganda, the latter because the events were made available to all mankind.  In short, the status quo was maintained. And yet a human/ET interface did taken place.  What  a wonderful device, what a great little system!

Perhaps if we broadened our investigative approach and afforded ET the benefit of a doubt by listening to what they are saying by such incredibly unlikely and world-shaking events, we can make progress on the extra-terrestrial question. It's not about the cars, after all, its about what's in the mind of the entities allegedly inside them. On the other hand, we can continue to beat our heads against the brick wall of UFOs and get nowhere for another sixty-five years.

WITH A NAME LIKE STAR JELLY, YOU KNOW IT'S GOOD DEPARTMENT

Space Blobs: A Look at Jelly from the Stars
By Micah Hanks

From time to time, there are strange reports of unidentifiable blobs that turn up unannounced in rather unlikely places, and despite their innocuous nature, in the past they have succeeded in arousing great interest in Fortean circles.

These presumed “space blobs” have been reckoned as being everything from industrial pollution, to the possible presence of exotic life forms in our midst.

In recent weeks, stories involving such alleged “space blobs” have been overshadowed by the story (and subsequent identification) of a stone on the Martian surface located next to the Opportunity rover, which according to most viewers seemed to resemble “a jelly donut.” The official explanation, however, was that it was indeed merely a rock that was tossed up by one of the tires on the rover as it moved. This wouldn’t prevent at least one lawsuit from surfacing, which alleged that NASA was overlooking possible evidence of alien life.

While the Martian donut may have little to do with whether strange biology may indeed exist out there on other worlds, the reports of space blobs, more commonly referred to as “star jelly”, have compelled more than just a few researchers to consider what may really exist out there in our universe… or perhaps even closer to home. Is there an explanation for the earthbound star jellies of this variety, or do they truly represent a Fortean mystery in our midst?

The subject has, in truth, been very widely covered in the past. Going all the way back to 1678, John Dryden and Nathaniel Lee included in their translation of Oedipus how “the shooting stars end all in purple jellies.” The following year, Dryden again made mention of jellies appearing in relation to shooting stars in The Spanish Friar, where he wrote, “When I had taken up what I supposed a fallen star, I found I had been cozened with a jelly.”

Other writers including William Somervile and Sir Walter Scott would make obvious mention of similar themes in their writing, which linked meteors and “foul jellies” that were purported to have appeared on the spot where the shooting star struck the earth. But arguably, no famous writing on from the classic period would frame the subject more famously than Sir John Suckling, who wrote of star jellies the following famous verse:

As he whose quicker eye both trace
A false star shot to a mark’t place
    Do’s run apace
    And, thinking it to catch,
    A jelly up do snatch.

The odd poem recounts essentially what is taken to be an old Welsh tradition of stargazing in the evening on spring nights, followed by what is interpreted as the discovery of varieties of fungus believed to be literal “star stuff” that had fallen from the sky. According to this interpretation of the legend, the Welsh term for the substance, essentially meaning “rot from the stars”, was pwdr sęr. Kim Myatt, an artist of Welsh heritage, explained the proper meaning and pronunciation of this to me some time ago, noting that there are actually two varieties of the term in the Welsh language:

Being Welsh, I thought you might like to know how to pronounce pwdr sęr and pydredd sęr. Pwdr sęr is pronounced ‘p-oo-d-ir ser’ while pydredd sęr is pronounced ‘pie-dre-th ser’. Pwdr/pydredd meaning “rotten” and sęr meaning “star”.

If taken solely in the context of the classic accounts of star jellies turning up in fields after meteor showers, the entire myth of pwdr sęr might be interpreted as yet another instance of folk beliefs growing around the observation of what were, at the time, unexplainable natural phenomenon. A correlation between the apparent discovery of “jellies” in conjunction with the observation of meteors streaking across the sky led to the notion that the two were perhaps connected, and hence the modern explanation for the pwdr sęr and pydredd sęr mystery.

However, there are also modern counterparts, as hinted at toward the outset of this piece, which might point to something different. Well documented modern accounts of mysterious slime appearances date back to at least the late 1970s, and by the 1990s, there were a number of reports of what was typically described as white, yellow, or gray colored slime or jelly that had appeared in locations including middle Texas, North Reading, Massachusetts and the towns of Oakville and Everette in Washington. In one case that became peculiarly reminiscent of the early “star jelly” reports that appeared in conjunction with meteors, an Australian meteor sighting that took place on the night of November 3, 1996 near Kempton was followed by the appearance of white colored slime, discovered by area residents the following day, which appeared on a number of lawns and sidewalks.

Perhaps one of the strangest commentaries provided on the subject of space blobs and star slime was featured during a National Geographic presentation titled “Mystery Goo Rain.” In it, microbiologist Mike McDowell had posited that tests revealed the presence of harmful substances which might be capable of spreading illness among those who had contact with the slime (specifically, he referred to pseudomonas fluorescens and enterobacter cloacae). McDowell cryptically explained that after his discovery, his samples disappeared, and that he was advised by his superiors not to pursue the matter. “This material was manufactured by someone for some purpose,” he maintained, believing that a conspiracy aimed at testing the potentially lethal substance on an unsuspecting portion of the populace may have been underway.

Much like the study of UFOs, it seems that there are actually a variety of different sources for the apparent presence of jellies such as those described here, and that the phenomenon may not particularly be a thing of the past, despite the evocation of the old Welsh terms in reference to them. Whatever the cause behind the more modern cases of star jelly may be, there do appear to be a number of instances that involve a physical substance, and which at times may have been tested, but remaining elusive to clear identification. Are these modern “star jelly” substances really an engineered substance, as Mike McDowell suggested, and could some of them really present the potential for harm to those who encounter them?

Be sure to listen to Micah Hanks Sunday night on The Outer Edge 11:59PM EST

Ancient City in India Found with High Radiation Levels

Radiation still so intense, the area is highly dangerous. A heavy layer of radioactive ash in Rajasthan, India, covers a three-square mile area, ten miles west of Jodhpur. Scientists are investigating the site, where a housing development was being built.

For some time it has been established that there is a very high rate of birth defects and cancer in the area under construction. The levels of radiation there have registered so high on investigators' gauges that the Indian government has now cordoned off the region. Scientists have unearthed an ancient city where evidence shows an atomic blast dating back thousands of years, from 8,000 to 12,000 years, destroyed most of the buildings and probably a half-million people. One researcher estimates that the nuclear bomb used was about the size of the ones dropped on Japan in 1945.

The Mahabharata clearly describes a catastrophic blast that rocked the continent.

"A single projectile charged with all the power in the Universe…An incandescent column of smoke and flame as bright as 10,000 suns, rose in all its splendor…it was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death which reduced to ashes an entire race.

"The corpses were so burned as to be unrecognizable. Their hair and nails fell out, pottery broke without any apparent cause, and the birds turned white.

"After a few hours, all foodstuffs were infected. To escape from this fire, the soldiers threw themselves into the river."

A Historian Comments

Historian Kisari Mohan Ganguli says that Indian sacred writings are full of such descriptions, which sound like an atomic blast as experienced in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He says references mention fighting sky chariots and final weapons. An ancient battle is described in the Drona Parva, a section of the Mahabharata.

"The passage tells of combat where explosions of final weapons decimate entire armies, causing crowds of warriors with steeds and elephants and weapons to be carried away as if they were dry leaves of trees," says Ganguli.

"Instead of mushroom clouds, the writer describes a perpendicular explosion with its billowing smoke clouds as consecutive openings of giant parasols. There are comments about the contamination of food and people's hair falling out."

Archeological Investigation provides information

Archeologist Francis Taylor says that etchings in some nearby temples he has managed to translate suggest that they prayed to be spared from the great light that was coming to lay ruin to the city.

"It's so mid-boggling to imagine that some civilization had nuclear technology before we did. The radioactive ash adds credibility to the ancient Indian records that describe atomic warfare."

Construction has halted while the five member team conducts the investigation. The foreman of the project is Lee Hundley, who pioneered the investigation after the high level of radiation was discovered.

There is evidence that the Rama empire (now India) was devastated by nuclear war. The Indus valley is now the Thar desert, and the site of the radioactive ash found west of Jodhpur is around there.

Consider these verses from the ancient (6500 BC at the latest) Mahabharata:

    …a single projectile
Charged with all the power of the Universe.
An incandescent column of smoke and flame
As bright as the thousand suns
    Rose in all its splendour…
    a perpendicular explosion
    with its billowing smoke clouds…
    …the cloud of smoke
    rising after its first explosion
    formed into expanding round circles
like the opening of giant parasols…

    ..it was an unknown weapon,
    An iron thunderbolt,
    A gigantic messenger of death,
    Which reduced to ashes
The entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas.
    …The corpses were so burned
    As to be unrecognisable.
    The hair and nails fell out;
    Pottery broke without apparent cause,
    And the birds turned white.

    After a few hours
    All foodstuffs were infected…
    …to escape from this fire
The soldiers threw themselves in streams
To wash themselves and their equipment.

Until the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, modern mankind could not imagine any weapon as horrible and devastating as those described in the ancient Indian texts. Yet they very accurately described the effects of an atomic explosion. Radioactive poisoning will make hair and nails fall out. Immersing oneself in water gives some respite, though it is not a cure.

When excavations of Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro reached the street level, they discovered skeletons scattered about the cities, many holding hands and sprawling in the streets as if some instant, horrible doom had taken place. People were just lying, unburied, in the streets of the city. And these skeletons are thousands of years old, even by traditional archaeological standards. What could cause such a thing? Why did the bodies not decay or get eaten by wild animals? Furthermore, there is no apparent cause of a physically violent death.

These skeletons are among the most radioactive ever found, on par with those at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At one site, Soviet scholars found a skeleton which had a radioactive level 50 times greater than normal. Other cities have been found in northern India that show indications of explosions of great magnitude. One such city, found between the Ganges and the mountains of Rajmahal, seems to have been subjected to intense heat. Huge masses of walls and foundations of the ancient city are fused together, literally vitrified! And since there is no indication of a volcanic eruption at Mohenjo-Daro or at the other cities, the intense heat to melt clay vessels can only be explained by an atomic blast or some other unknown weapon. The cities were wiped out entirely.

While the skeletons have been carbon-dated to 2500 BC, we must keep in mind that carbon-dating involves measuring the amount of radiation left. When atomic explosions are involved, that makes then seem much younger.

Interestingly, Manhattan Project chief scientist Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer was known to be familiar with ancient Sanskrit literature. In an interview conducted after he watched the first atomic test, he quoted from the Bhagavad Gita:

"'Now I am become Death, the Destroyer of Worlds.' I suppose we all felt that way."

When asked in an interview at Rochester University seven years after the Alamogordo nuclear test whether that was the first atomic bomb ever to be detonated, his reply was,

Ancient cities whose brick and stonewalls have literally been vitrified, that is, fused together, can be found in India, Ireland, Scotland, France, Turkey and other places. There is no logical explanation for the vitrification of stone forts and cities, except from an atomic blast.

Another curious sign of an ancient nuclear war in India is a giant crater near Bombay. The nearly circular 2,154-metre-diameter Lonar crater, located 400 kilometres northeast of Bombay and aged at less than 50,000 years old, could be related to nuclear warfare of antiquity.

No trace of any meteoric material, etc., has been found at the site or in the vicinity, and this is the world's only known "impact" crater in basalt. Indications of great shock (from a pressure exceeding 600,000 atmospheres) and intense, abrupt heat (indicated by basalt glass spherules) can be ascertained from the site. David Hatcher Childress in Nexus Magazine:

"The crater is formed in the basalt rock of thickness 600-700m (2,000 to 2,200 feet). This rock is made of many layers or flows which were laid why volcanic activity at various times, five of such flows are exposed at the crater rim. Thickness of these flows ranges from 5 to 30m.

The crater is about 150m (500 feet)deep and has average diameter of 1830m (1.4 miles). The elevated rim consists of 25m of bedrock and 5m of ejecta over it. This ejecta blanket is spread over about 1350m (4,400 feet) away from the crater rim and slopes away by 2-6°. The uppermost region of ejecta contains the deposits that were melted due to the impact".

“Lonar is a place of obscurities, especially as the only meteoric crater formed in basaltic terrain. It has remained relatively intact due to low degree of erosion by environmental agents, making it an excellent model for study. However, several strange things happen here:

    1. The lake has two distinct regions that never mix — an outer neutral (pH7) and an inner alkaline (pH11) each with its own flora and fauna. You can actually do a litmus paper test here and check this for yourself.

    2. There is a perennial stream feeding the lake with water but there seems to be no apparent outlet for the lake’s water. And it is also a big unsolved mystery where the water for the perennial stream comes from, in a relatively dry region like Buldhana. Even in the driest months of May and June, the stream is perpetually flowing. Lonar generates questions and more questions”. Lilyn Kamath
