Biblical UFO Revelations

The Reverend Barry Downing’s credentials are impressive, adding scholarly weight to his theories regarding anomalous and miraculous events as portrayed in the Old and New Testaments. Downing holds a Ph.D. in the relation between religion and science from the University of Edinburgh of Scotland. He also has a bachelor’s degree in physics from New York’s Hartwick College as well as a degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Downing has studied the Bible most of his life. . .

Not unusual for a pastor, but what makes his evangelistic career unique is that he has also studied the UFO phenomena since the mid-1950s. The combination of both pursuits resulted in the 1968 publication of his controversial book, “The Bible and Flying Saucers,” which would lay important groundwork regarding the blending of the divine with the theory that earth has been visited by extraterrestrials in ancient times and that these visitations continue to this day. This work is his long awaited sequel in which he expands upon the polemic issues previously put forth, including that the –

** Parting of the Red Sea in the Bible’s Exodus was accomplished by a cylindrical UFO, a cigars haped ship whose kind is still reported.

** That Jesus was an extraterrestrial sent to earth to rid the world of sin and wickedness, quoting Biblical text to support his claim.

** That Jesus left earth in a spaceship to another planet, or perhaps another spatial dimension.

** That angels were actually aliens and that the “angelic aliens” spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai where he boarded a UFO to receive the Ten Commandments and specifications for the construction of the Tabernacle. It was aliens who guided the ancient Israelites, providing them with manna in the wilderness.

** In the modern world, Downing contends with mainstream religion’s refusal to take the subject seriously. Christian liberals don’t want to hear the miracles of the Bible were real and Christian conservatives don’t want the miracles credited to simple aliens in flying saucers. Thus one can see that Downing, an ordained minister, is bravely risking disapproval from a wide swathe of fellow Christians not ready for his message. Many of the issues discussed by the author raise the issue of ontology, or what is real and what is the nature of being.

Rev. Downing believes that recent discoveries in quantum physics tend to confirm that Biblical phenomena could be real. “Modern quantum physics has revealed a world,” he states, “that is not full of ‘solid objects’ on one hand and space on the other, but rather a dynamic world in which solid objects are mostly space, with various types of quantum energy spinning away to create the illusion of solid objects, making it difficult to know for certain what we think we know.” As for a possible global cover-up of the UFO phenomenon, Rev. Downing espouses the theory that if UFOs truly carry the angels of Christ, their “strange technology and behavior” may be as upsetting to government scientists as the Resurrection of Jesus was to the disciples. “Their ‘real-world’ understanding had to expand, and so must ours,” he rightfully concludes.

This book is for the faithful as well as those who are primarily interested in unexplained historical phenomena as revealed in Biblical as well as other ancient texts, as well as seekers of censored truths concerning the hidden and forbidden knowledge of mankind.

Trump to Allow Release of JFK Files

President Donald Trump says he doesn't plan to block the scheduled release of thousands of never publicly seen government documents related to President John F. Kennedy's assassination.

"Subject to the receipt of further information," he wrote in a Saturday morning tweet, "I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened."

Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened.
      Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) 21 October 2017

The National Archives has until Thursday to disclose the remaining files related to Kennedy's 1963 assassination. The trove is expected to include more than 3,000 documents that have never been seen by the public and more than 30,000 that have been previously released but with redactions.

Congress mandated in 1992 that all assassination documents be released within 25 years, but Trump has the power to block them on the grounds that making them public would harm intelligence or military operations, law enforcement or foreign relations.

"Thank you. This is the correct decision. Please do not allow exceptions for any agency of government," tweeted Larry Sabato, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics and author of a book about Kennedy, who has urged the president to release the files. "JFK files have been hidden too long."

Thank you. This is the correct decision. Please do not allow exceptions for any agency of government. JFK files have been hidden too long. https://t.co/mqo7Q9XWt3
      Larry Sabato (@LarrySabato) 21 October 2017

The anticipated release has had scholars and armchair detectives buzzing. But it's unlikely the documents will contain any big revelations on a tragedy that has stirred conspiracy theories for decades, Judge John Tunheim told The Associated Press last month. Tunheim was chairman of the independent agency in the 1990s that made public many assassination records and decided how long others could remain secret.

Sabato and other JFK scholars believe the trove of files may, however, provide insight into assassin Lee Harvey Oswald's trip to Mexico City weeks before the killing, during which he visited the Soviet and Cuban embassies. Oswald's stated reason for going was to get visas that would allow him to enter Cuba and the Soviet Union, according to the Warren Commission, the investigative body established by President Lyndon B. Johnson, but much about the trip remains unknown.

Longtime Trump friend Roger Stone, who wrote a book alleging that Johnson was the driving force behind Kennedy's assassination, had personally urged the president to make the files public, he told far-right conspiracy theorist and radio show host Alex Jones this past week.

"Yesterday, I had the opportunity to make the case directly to the president of the United States by phone as to why I believe it is essential that he release the balance of the currently redacted and classified JFK assassination documents," Stone said, adding that "a very good White House source," but not the president, had told him the Central Intelligence Agency, "specifically CIA director Mike Pompeo, has been lobbying the president furiously not to release these documents."

"Why? Because I believe they show that Oswald was trained, nurtured and put in place by the Central Intelligence Agency. It sheds very bad light on the deep state," he said.

After the president announced his decision, Stone tweeted: "Yes ! victory !"

The files that were withheld in full were those the Assassination Records Review Board deemed "not believed relevant," Tunheim said. Its members sought to ensure they weren't hiding any information directly related to Kennedy's assassination, but there may be nuggets of information in the files that they didn't realize were important two decades ago, he said.

"There could be some jewels in there because in our level of knowledge in the 1990s is maybe different from today," Tunheim said.

The National Archives in July published online more than 440 never-before-seen assassination documents and thousands of others that had been released previously with redactions.

Among those documents was a 1975 internal CIA memo that questioned whether Oswald became motivated to kill Kennedy after reading an AP article in a newspaper that quoted Fidel Castro as saying "U.S. leaders would be in danger if they helped in any attempt to do away with leaders of Cuba."

9.7 Million-Year-Old Primate Teeth Found In Germany
By Athena Chan

Teeth found in sediments near a river in Eppelsheim, Germany, are believed to have come from a yet-to-be-identified ancient great ape. Due to intriguing qualities of the canine teeth, questions now arise whether or not the find has an impact on the human family tree.

Intriguing Discovery

On September 2016, two teeth believed to be those of an ancient primate's were recovered in a prehistoric site known for primate fossils since the 1820s. The teeth, an upper right first molar and an upper left canine, are caramel-colored and are amazingly preserved. Evidence suggests that the teeth are about 9.7 million years old.

While the characteristics of the molar line up with those of other fossil finds in the area, the canine evidently exhibits hominin characteristics, suggesting the possibility of its unidentified owner being a very distant ancestor of modern humans. Specifically, the tooth bears a resemblance to the teeth of extinct human relatives Australopithecus afarensis.

Though the discovery is quite intriguing, researchers are very cautious about their interpretation of the findings. That said, it took researchers quite a while before having their findings published. Lead author of the paper published in ResearchGate on Friday, Oct. 19, states that he and his colleagues were left dumbfounded for a year after the discovery.

According to researchers, the tooth is quite unlike any other find in Europe and in Asia, and to describe it in relation to hominin teeth is intriguing, as the current understanding is that hominins, our extinct human relatives, left Africa about 120,000 years ago. This tooth is significantly older than that.
Careful Interpretations

"That would mean that a group of primates was in Europe before they were in Africa," said Herbert Lutz of the Natural History Museum in Mainz, Germany, lead author of the paper.

Still, there is the possibility of this creature having developed the same tooth characteristics due to experiencing the same evolutionary pressures that the ones in Africa did at the same time. However, researchers are very careful about their interpretations.

"We want to hold back on speculation," said Lutz. "It's a complete mystery where this individual came from, and why nobody's ever found a tooth like this somewhere before."

Where Does The Creature Fit In The Family Tree?

The insinuation that the owner of these teeth is of hominin origins does not convince many experts. In fact, paleoanthropologist from University of Toronto Bence Viola isn't even convinced that this tooth is of hominin or hominoid origin, a branch comprising of hominins, chimpanzees, and other apes.

The closest that experts believe the owner of this controversial tooth could be is a species of extinct primate that inhabited Europe and Asia between 7 and 17 million years ago, something that Lutz and his team also point out.

As of now, the owner of the teeth remains branch-less in the family tree. That said, Lutz and his team are only just beginning their examination of the unusual find. Perhaps in a few more years, the speculations may become theories, and the mystery creature could find itself a place in the family tree.

U.S. Tourists Think They Were Hit by "Sonic Attacks" in Cuba
By Drew Schwartz

Roughly three dozen US citizens say they think they could have been hit by a mysterious "sonic attack" while vacationing in Cuba, developing a set of bizarre symptoms similar to the ones a handful of US diplomats and intelligence agents have suffered after visiting the country, the Associated Press reports.

Word about the string of incidents broke back in August, when the AP reported a handful of US diplomats in Cuba had suffered acute hearing loss from what US officials believe to be a "covert sonic device" that emits a mysterious high-pitched sound. Government officials now say at least 22 embassy workers and their spouses have been hit. Some have gone permanently deaf, or suffered concussions; others experienced dizziness, nausea, severe headaches, and tinnitus. While not every victim reported hearing the terrifying sound, a number of those who did said the recording that AP recently obtained was spot on.

Chris Allen, an American tourist who visited Cuba in 2014, told the AP he came down with a weird set of symptoms years ago during a stay at Havana's Hotel Capri—the same place that housed US diplomats hit by the alleged attack. On two consecutive nights during the trip, he said all of his limbs went numb after he crawled into bed at his hotel. His symptoms reportedly persisted for half a year after he left Cuba, sending him to six different physicians who still can't figure out what happened to him.

There's no indication any of the US diplomats experienced that kind of numbness, but—just like Allen—their symptoms indicated some sort of neurological problem. Allen says he didn't hear a bizarre, high-pitched sound, but as the AP points out, many of the affected embassy workers didn't either. Still, some doctors are skeptical the attack would have affected tourists.

"I am sure that between April 2014 and October 2017 there must have been a very large number of people who were in Cuba and who were affected by various symptoms," NYU neuroscience professor Mario Svirsky told the AP. "But that's not unusual."

Eleven months after US diplomats first reported their symptoms, the State Department still doesn't know how to test whether someone's been attacked, can't identify the device wreaking all this havoc, and hasn't figured out who might be responsible. The US has since brought most of its diplomatic force home, and warned American tourists to stay away from the island.

As for any tourists who think they could have been affected by the sonic device? The State Department says to "consult a medical professional."

Close Encounters - I Had Sex with an Alien!

Forget China's astronauts. The country's most famous intergalactic traveler lives in the last house on his lane at the edge of a Siberian forest. Meng Zhaoguo's odyssey began at the Red Flag logging camp in the Manchurian province of Heilongjiang, when he saw a metallic glint thrown off nearby Mount Phoenix. Thinking a helicopter had crashed, he set out to scavenge for scrap. The 36-year-old lumberjack stood gazing at the wreck from across a valley when "Foom! Something hit me square in the forehead and knocked me out."

That collision four years ago, and what followed, has made Meng a celebrity even today among the growing number of Chinese gaga for little green men. In a country that bans "evil cults" and monitors faith in anything but the Communist Party, a belief in extraterrestrial life is one of the few fringe convictions that's been allowed to grow into an organized movement.

The government-approved China UFO Research Center boasted 50,000 members and held annual conferences before splintering into competing factions three years ago. A 20-year-old Chinese bimonthly magazine about UFOs enjoys a circulation of 200,000.

"We have so many visitation reports that if people don't have pictures, we won't bother investigating," says Zhang Jingping, director of the Beijing UFO Research Association.

Chinese fascination with interplanetary life isn't entirely new. Believers point to a 4th century text called the Collected Legacies, which describes a "moon boat" that floated above China every 12 years.

Today's focus is on the science of UFOs—something tolerable to a Chinese Communist Party that advocates "scientific socialism." It helps that heavy hitters such as the former president of Beijing Aerospace University have long advised UFO-research organizations.

The hard-science bent means it's acceptable to publish research on close-encounter stories. It's not O.K., however, to wonder if such stories result from people searching for higher meaning in the hurly-burly of a changing China by turning to God, Buddha or even E.T.

"Chinese may feel a spiritual impulse that leads some to believe they've been abducted by aliens," says Richard McNally, a psychologist at Harvard University who has researched Chinese alien-abduction claims.

Few have enjoyed as remarkable a journey as Meng. Several nights after his wallop on the head, Meng says he found himself floating above his bed. As his wife and daughter slept below, a 3-m-tall, six-fingered alien with braided fur on her legs straddled his waist. After 40 minutes of levitational copulation she departed through the wall, leaving Meng with a 5-cm mark on his thigh.

A month later, he says, he was transported through the wall into a spaceship. Meng asked to see the woman with the braided fur. Impossible, they said. But they gave him hope.

"In 60 years, on a distant planet," they said, "the son of a Chinese peasant will be born." Meng asked if he would ever see this child. He would. The aliens did not say where.

Veteran Talks of the "Foo Fighters"

Frederic Sargent was studying economics at Colby College in Maine when the draft for World War II beckoned. In 1942, the 22-year-old joined the 415th Night Fighter Squadron of the Army Air Forces and studied at a series of radio schools.

For 31/2 years, he was stationed throughout North Africa, Sicily, Corsica, Germany and England. As a corporal, he never flew, but his principal job was to take care of the lights on the landing strips for night fighters.

He peeled potatoes in the kitchen police and learned the mechanics of aircraft engines. In 1946, as the historian for the group, he wrote an unpublished account of his unit's interaction with foo fighters, titled "Foo Fighters and the 415th."

Sargent went on to teach economics at various U.S. universities before retiring to Sarasota with Shirley, his wife of 60 years. (Below are some of Sargent's writings and ruminations on the topic of foo fighters.)

'The British developed radar and night fighting, so when the U.S. went into World War II, we had to learn everything from the British. My squadron was the first one to do that.

Our pilots and crew chiefs would go to England and Scotland to learn from the British. I was in the ground echelon, so I met up with them in North Africa.

Pilots in the 415th encountered and reported 'foo fighters' (or luminous, unidentified objects) during the night over the German-occupied Rhine River valley. The sightings were recorded between November 1944 and April 1945, when the 415th was operating from landing strips in Dijon and Ochey, France.

The sightings posed a baffling question to air war buffs, scientists, the media and the public. What were they? The pilots could find no explanation that fit all of the sightings. The Air Force was in a position to answer the question, as they had sequestered tons of German air war records. But their focus was on developing the next generation of fighters and bombers, not in information dissemination.

The proliferation of sightings, or imagined sightings, of UFOs and flying saucers by people everywhere complicated the search for an answer. When the Allies captured the area east of the Rhine River, the foo fighter sightings ceased.

A few investigative air science researchers studied records and archives in Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom. Recent investigators point out a possible line of progressive development of radar invisibility from the foo fighter to the stealth fighter and bomber.

Eventually, as the U.S. becomes militarily secure, the Air Force will probably declassify its records of German World War II research."

Some excerpts from the unit's log:

Nov. 27, 1944: Lt. Edward A. Schleuter returned from a mission and reported that he saw a red light flying through the air. It came in about 2,000 feet off starboard and then disappeared in a long red streak.

Dec. 15, 1944: A pilot's mission report stated: 'Saw a brilliant red light at 2,000 feet going east at 200 miles per hour in the vicinity of Erstein. Due to AI failure, could not pick up contact but followed it by sight until it went out. Could not get close enough to identify object before it went out."

Mystery Fires Once Again Plague Malaysian Family

KOTA BARU: Six years ago, Zainab Sulaiman and her family claimed to have suffered from “paranormal activity”, including mysterious fires at their home in Kampung Penambang Mas near Pantai Cahaya Bulan.

The phenomena lasted for several months, resulting in the former petty trader and her family suffering huge losses, including the destruction of their wooden house and other valuable properties.

One mysterious fire suddenly consumed a face towel in a closet. Nearly 10 people who saw the incident, including a newspaper reporter and photographer, were awestruck by the weird incident before one of them quickly put out the fire.

Zainab Sulaiman, 73, said that other strange things had been occurring in her house such as cash going missing and rice would be adulterated with “budu” and red colouring liquid.

She said the fires became more serious and destroyed more than 200 items of clothing as well as two mattresses.

Zainab, who had been living in the house for 32 years, said the mysterious fires would appear on average five times a day.

Zainab received help from paranormal experts who theorized that djinn's were the root of the problem.  Renowned spiritualist Ong Q Leng said that he could sense an evil presence the moment he stepped into the house. "There are little djinns under the house," he said, "while the big ones are outside the house."

“I was able to chase away the small djinns but there is a 50-50 chance that they will return to cause mischief again."

Apparently Ong Q Leng's efforts were successful as the strange occurrences finally stopped.

But the 80-year-old and her family are now suffering again, claiming that the paranormal activity began again in September.

Zainab claimed unexplained fires again occurred, damaging her house and another belonging to her sister.

“The latest incident happened on Friday. I was at our rental homestay with my daughter Ropeah Zakaria, 50, and her three children, aged between 17 and 21, when suddenly five unexplained mysterious fires started to burn our clothes and prayer mats.

“Worried the fire would spread to the whole house, we immediately took some water and splashed the fires,” she said.

Zainab said, since the incident, they are having sleepless nights worrying that the fire will occur while everyone was asleep.

“Since last month, we have called all sorts of religious experts and even bomoh to help us but the mischievous spirits continue to disturb my family,” she said.

Making the situation worse, she said, many neighbors seemed to be avoiding coming close to them and some even refused to rent their houses to her family.

“Since last month, we have to rent a homestay in the village because we could not find a house to rent. Many villagers refused to allow us to rent their homes as they are afraid of the mysterious fires might destroy the houses,” said Zainab.

However, recently a traditional healer claims he has captured two types of demons which have been bothering the family. Saad Jaafar, 44, said that he has caught the demons through procedures he carried out on the family.

"The first type of demon originated from the foundation of this house and it admitted to torching the house, as it liked to play with fire," Jaafar told reporters.

"The second type of demon was passed down for generations in the victim's family. It admitted to cutting the victims’ clothes and stealing their money. These are the beings which caused the family so much misery."

One of the family members, Wan Nur Fatihah Wan Hanafi, age 19, says that there have been no major incidents in the household since the “cleansing” process was carried out.

"I hope nothing will catch fire after this as I would hate to see it happen again," she said.

Congressional Candidate Says She was Abducted by Aliens

A Republican congressional candidate in Florida says she’s learned a lot on her travels — including the spaceship ride she took with aliens when she was a just a little girl.

Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera — a 59-year-old entrepreneur running to replace retiring Miami Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen — said she remained in contact with three aliens, one male and two females, since the extraterrestrial joyride when she was 7 years old, according to a resurfaced 2009 television interview.

“I went in,” Rodriguez Aguilera told America TeVe. “There were some round seats that were there, and some quartz rocks that controlled the ship – not like airplanes.”

Rodriguez Aguilera, a former councilwoman in Doral who announced her candidacy last August, said the aliens were reminiscent of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janiero. She also claimed that she learned several fun facts during her encounters with them, including that’s the world’s “energy center” is in Africa and that a popular limestone tourist attraction in Miami-Dade County called Coral Castle is actually an ancient Egyptian pyramid.

Rodriguez Aguilera declined to directly address the alleged encounters when contacted Friday by the Miami Herald, telling the newspaper that she has a “strong belief in God” and believes that there is more life out in cosmos.

“For years people, including Presidents like Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter and astronauts have publicly claimed to have seen unidentified flying objects and scientists like Stephen Hawking and institutions like the Vatican have stated that there are billions of galaxies in the universe and we are probably not alone,” she told the Herald.

“I personally am a Christian and have a strong belief in God, I join the majority of Americans who believe that there must be intelligent life in the billions of planets and galaxies in the universe.”

Rodriguez Aguilera said she’s raised about $10,000 during the most recent fundraising quarter, an underwhelming amount she attributed to a stoppage in her campaign due to Hurricane Irma. On her website, Rodirguez Aguilera describes herself as an “entrepreneur, educator and community leader” with more than three decades of experience in the private and public sectors.

Rodriguez Aguilera has trained people in more than 19 countries on “business and leadership,” according to her website, which makes no reference extraterrestrial travel claims.

Attorney Rick Yabor, a political commentator in south Florida, thinks her detailed account may be problematic at the polls — even in today’s political climate.

“She got into details that are not very mainstream,” Yabor told the Miami Herald. “Someone who’s running for Congress – you’ve got to raise a lot of money. A donor might have second thoughts … Miami politics are unusual. This one takes it to a new level.”

Female "Ghost" Forces Men to Flee Indian Village

Men have fled an Indian village after people in the town feared a female ghost was attacking male residents.

It appears as though only women are now living in the tiny village of Kasiguda, in the Nirmal district of Telangana, after reports of the ghost.

Word of the reported ghost spread throughout the town after three people, including two brothers, were killed in the village within a three-month period.

People in the now-abandoned village claimed that a female ghost had strangled the men who were killed.

The village, inhabited by 60 families who make their livelihood from stone cutting and crushing, is nearly empty as a majority of its people have left for "safer places".

Most houses are locked and no men dares to return. The small village that sits amidst lush greenery today looks like a ghost town.

The few people who have remained go to sleep when the sun sets and do not leave their homes until sunrise the next morning.

A woman in the town told Tamil News that the reported ghost had not attacked any women.

No one plans to return to the village until the village is 'unpossessed' of the ghost, the Times of India reported.

The ghost scare is not new in the villages of Telangana, but this is the first time in many years people have vacated their homes. The issue became a big buzz on social media now.

Recently, people in several colonies of Warangal town also spent sleepless nights as the word of a ghost strolling the streets at night spread like a wildfire. The 'female ghost' was reported to be around 7 to 8 feet tall, wandering in the streets of Kumarapalli, Kotthur Janda, Nayeem Nagar and NGO's colony in the night.
